From E! online: Savage mentioned that Bart was psychotic, at least the writers were aware of this. Someone in the NY magazine recap had said Vanessa's kitchen looked like one from the 70's. Savage said it is the kitchen set for the Carrie Diaries and it's the 80's. Apparently the DS wedding should have been leaked, but it was, which kinda amusses me, because it shows how sucky they were at hidding certain things, although I agree with her that they did pull out to keep the cameos a secret. In the NY magazine recap people were wondering about Serena's career. Based on Savage response, it looks she ends up like Lily, a socialite. It sucks, she could have been a writer or have a movie career, the show hinted at that more than once.
@ sasha: I know. And that's was is bothering me with every hour that passes. @ Gaby: I agree. I remember that back then there was already speculation about the possibility of Dan being GG based mostly on this scene. The videotape footage shown in 5x24 also increased this possibility, many said that those were his hands. So it's likely they made Penn film that, or some guy similar to him.
The polarizing twist was the fact that the show is telling us Dan is Gossip Girl. The producers/writers knew this would drive us nuts and that we would be talking about this as much or maybe even more than Chuck and Blair finally being together or Dan himself marrying Serena. I just wished they would have chosen something else, because really I don't think this helps Dan's legacy as a character in this story, even if his sister knew and approved of it.
I don't know if anyone is reading at this hour, considering ratings, heartbreak, dissapointment, people abandoning ships or the show, etc. I just want to say that I shared 5 years (I didn't see the first season when it aired but later and there still are parts I haven't seen) with this fandom and I won't forget that, even though there are things about this that I hated as much as they are things that I loved. I got what I wanted and at the same time I feel cheated. How is that ok? And yes they didn't answer many things. It's my fault really, after watching The O.C. what was I expecting? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never again, Schwartz and Co., never again. Good luck to all of those who dare come 100 yards new you. Still, I guess I have to shut up and drink to Chuck and Blair and Dan and Serena (for the girl that shipped Rufly, my deepest condolences and I really mean it). I'll just sit back and drink martinis like a girl here used to say.
