Okay I just finished watching the season final, and I agree with you on some points. I feel like the luster for this episode wasn't on it's A game. I felt the episode was funny at times and had a story line ending you knew was coming. Since the show hasn't officially been picked up, they had to end it with something that made you wonder if they were done or going to continue.
As for the gunman, it's probably someone from Nancy's past. Hired to get her, aka someone from the Mexican mob. After all, she did kill a big player and she took out Esteban's camp.
I give this episode a 4 out of 5 stars. It was exactly what I was expecting in a season finale. I also knew that the only way for Nancy to get Stevie was for them to someone live together, which shocker is what happened. Also, Shane being a cop it's just perfect. He's got the character and skill for it. He's been that way since we first met him in season one.
I think this show as one more season, but anymore than that I wouldn't say so. They really need to end it well. If they don't get picked up, I want to see the scene where Nancy's death is being investigate and she see her body. Otherwise I'll always think she's alive.

Weeds is about the conflict that the drug business brings to her family. Nancy, I would hope by now, know that she has to be careful in what she says around thugs or Demetri. As for her and Silas going up against each other, no one is going to win. They're too much a like and are better off working together in order to accomplish their goal. Also, why is it that Dean is always the punching bag? I feel like he's earned the right to not always be the one whose the loser.
I agree with you that I don't like the Stevie custody battle is somehow gone for the storyline. This was such a big deal at the beginning of the season and now we're not even discussing it. So sad that they've basically forgottan about a kid that saved Nancy multiple times. As for the storyline, this season better have a good finale, back to a heart stopping moment. If it's the series finale, I have a lot of stipulations for that. First, they better warn us loyal Weeds watchers that it's coming, I don't want to be shocked like they did for United States of Tara. Second, it better be a pretty epic TV Moment. The only way this series can end is for Nancy to die. I'd like to see her and Andy finally get together but who knows. As for Silas and Shane, the brothers do business together. Silas becomes the drug dealer who all know him to be aka Nancy in boy form and Shane becomes a cop. He's be a good cop working for both sides. Come on, you know he'd pull it off!
Nancy certainly has a thing for her bosses. This is the third time (I believe) that she's hooked up with her boss. I mean jeez girl, you know how to work your way up! As for her relationship with Silas, she needs to start listening to him more. I also think she has come to see that Silas understands the drug business a little bit better than she does, even if he hasn't seen the violence she has. He's a good dealer and one hell of a grower!
Andy was smart in knowing that Zoya had to go. She was a loose cannon waiting to go off. She was nothing but trouble. I enjoyed Nancy's classy way of getting her out of the way. As Andy put it "Your good at burning shit." haha
Weeds has definitely recycled old story lines this season but I think it's getting back to the main characters and not all of the side stories like it was the past few seasons. I think Nancy and Silas still haven't learned when it comes to family and the business, they both need to not be so head strong. Silas needs to start thinking with his head and not what's in his pants. I know Nancy has definitely been using Andy but I think that now she's been in prison you appreciates him more for always sticking around. As for Shane, he used to be this really smart kid and now he keeps making stupid mistakes. He needs is craftiness back!
Andy is trying to be tough this episode? Really, Emma is gonna kick your ass. Plus she really shouldn't be screwing with Nancy, those people end up dead.
