That just broke my heart-she thought he was going to die and left him to die alone without ever “really acknowledging she loves him. And the whole-if I would have met you first bit and flashback? What does that change-for me nothing and those two (compulsions) are very simple things when you look at the series at a whole. If she wasn’t going to pick Damon after this season, then why would she next? Love the show, but so disappointed. It would have been amazing if she picked him anyway without him knowing and then everything happened and she turned.
Man…I was literally screaming at the TV. I have always stated that I am on Team Salvatore and just like many others, was growing really annoyed with Elena’s pulling along of both brothers. I never really knew how much I wanted her to pick Damon until she didn’t. For me, I do not want to see a repeat of the first two seasons; it is very much been there and done then. Also, I keep reading where everyone is excited that now, because she is a vampire, she will remember everything that she was compelled to forget (bring in Damon). My response is SO WHAT? Why will her remembering what he said and meeting him first change anything? He told her he loved her; she knew that and ALSO she thought he was going to die and NEVER said it to him. CONT
It seems I am in the minority, but I loved this episode. I wouldn’t call myself a shipper of any sorts (team Salvatore), but I do understand that the premise is about a human girl being in love with two vampire brothers. Honestly-I like the different paths that each relationship has gone done and am not annoyed at how long it has taken her to decide. I am annoyed that she states she doesn’t know how she feels about Damon. You don’t kiss someone like that and not know. SPOILER-unfortunately I think Damon will be the brother to leave at the end of the season; Stefan did last year and it would seem too repetitive. Matt Davis once again was able to show off what he can really do and I love when he gets to play creepy. Last note-I think it is very selfish that people are going to stop watching just because your “ship isn’t the main focus. The writers CANNOT please everyone and expecting that is just ridiculous.
@nellyluv12-No, you are not the only one that didn't care for Rose. She kinda ruined part of season 2 for me. I didn't like her entrance, I didn't see the connection she supposedly had with Damon, and I did not shed a tear when she died. Seeing Kol and Jeremy will hopefully make up for her appearance.
Rookie Blue starting in May??? LOVE IT! Can't wait to see Andy and Sam trying to be normal together, Ben and Travis back on my screen(shirtless please),and the usual awesomeness that is Epstein.
contdI enjoyed this episode so much more than the past two and it has been my favorite season by far. I didn’t like the way they used Katherine last season; she was lost, I hated the character of Rose and couldn’t wait till she was gone, and the Damon and Elena kiss wasn’t that great (sue me). BUT because I like the overall writing and the characters, I am going to continue to watch. I do not watch for one sole person/reason and actually want the show to stay on air so I will put up with a few bad ones. No show is ever perfect and lives up to fans’ expectations all the time.
Wow-so many complaints and negativity. The whole idea behind the show is a human girl being in love with two brothers that happen to be vampires. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the relationships on the show are the MAIN focal point regardless if it is in the romantic sense or not. And the triangle is finally starting to go somewhere with Elena not being completely aware of her feelings for Damon but not being in denial either. Their pace of relationship, while slow to some, is very realistic to me. Her and Stefan barley knew each other before they fell in love and here we get to see how her and Damon’s relationship has grown over the course of three seasons. People complain about how boring the show is when an episode isn’t focused on the triangle or vice versa. This episode gives us maybe ONE scene in which something significant happens (in regards to the triangle); I wouldn’t call that “shoving down our throats. It’s like TVD can never win. I enjoyed this episode so much more than the past two and it has been my favorite season by far. I didn’t like the way they used Katherine last season; she was lost, I hated the character of Rose and couldn’t wait till she was gone, and the Damon and Elena kiss was lame(sue me). BUT because I like the overall writing and the characters/actors, I am going to continue to watch. I do not watch for one sole person/reason and actually want the show to stay on air so I will put up with a few bad ones. No show is ever perfect and lives up to fans’ expectations all the time.
OTH used to be one of my favorite shows, but I stopped watching because the storylines were way over the top sometimes. I checked out last night’s episodes and so glad to see I wasn’t the only one crying like a baby. Someone please give Paul Johansson ANY kind of reward-he was so amazing and if it were any other actor playing his role I probably wouldn’t have cared so much that he was dying. I wanted Dan to live, but understood that he still would have lived his life with so much regret and Keith showing up and forgiving his brother was powerful; it blew me away. I don’t understand why Chad and Hilarie could not come back for the last few episodes, but in this one, I just didn’t care about them. Paul and Bethany just knocked it out of the park and I hope I get to watch them on something else soon.
What a complete mess that was! Honestly nothing about it made sense and no I haven't read the books, but seriously Mona?? Like what most of the posters are saying...she was friends with Hannah when Aria received her first text; the girls weren't close again and the only reason they grew together in the first place was due to A! And I love me some Ezra, but very unrealistic. Him "stepping up" and kissing Aria in public is REALLY not that big of a deal if there are no consequences. There are tons of people at the dance and NO ONE was shocked by it??? Now there is an A team? Well, of course!!! Who can be in 20 places at one time? No answers-not who is really behind A, who killed Alli, and now who killed Maya.
Definitely not my favorite episode and I agree with many posters that found this episode to be slow. I think that speaks very highly for VD that we expect so much from them and they almost deliver every single time. I do not think it was a “filler episode; not every episode can be filled with action and scenes with Damon/Elena or Stefan/Elena. I liked the break that we were given of the triangle and am happy the flashbacks weren’t as present as in past episodes because I do not care for Sage at all. @bored now-you are entitled to your own opinion and while I find it annoying that you complain after every show, I am used to it. However, you cannot speak for me or an ENTIRE fan base for that matter. I am intrigued by the rings and always have been. Get over yourself!
