Is anyone here really looking forward to "Blair and Serena’s friendship will be hanging by a thread when the season ends."??? I love their friendship and I find this potential development extremely sad.
While I find Dair beyond boring, I actually really liked the van der Woodsen storyline. Lily has some serious balls and I loved Serena in this episode. I keep waiting for the girl to catch a break. And I loved Nate trying to dig up dirt on Diana - it was fun to see Nate actually doing something!
You know what, I concede that the IP was horrible. But you know what was worse - Blair losing her baby. I love how this was mentioned when Blair and Dan were having their wonderful Hallmark card moment about Blair losing her way. Oh, that's right, it wasn't mentioned at all. But if they had, I'm sure they would have blamed Chuck for that too - I mean he was also in the accident. Remember, this is the horrible monster that Blair wanted to help her raise her child with.
Sophie - my sentiments exactly. Can't they just be friends??
My prediction: Chuck and Georgina's scheme is going to bring Dair closer together. I do not believe they will sleep together. Georgie's got Milo and Philip and for some reason I think she likes that. I am intrigued to see what their scheming is though - hopefully its fun! Gotta believe that CeCe's health is going to bring the great Dr. van der Woodsen back to the UES.
I've got to believe its CeCe even though I love her to bits! Her death would bring the Chivy/Lola plot to it head, which you know has got to happen soon!
I really feel like the writers missed a great opportunity with this car crash storyline. One thing I have always loved on GG is when the NJBC + Dan get together to tackle a problem. In the past, its usually something with Serena, but this time they could have all worked together to figure out and frame whoever tried to KILL Nate! Nate would be motivated b/c this is his life, Chuck would have been motivated b/c whoever did this put him in the hospital and ended up destroying his rekindled relationship with Blair and hurt her, Blair would have been motivated b/c this person KILLED her baby and also wrecked her reunion with Chuck, Serena would have been motivated b/c these are her friends/family and she could have gotten back at Tripp for the past, and Dan would also have been motivated b/c these are his friends and because of his feelings for Blair. But no, they didn't even involve Blair or Dan (I think Chuck was involved peripherally).
I've got to say, I think she's beautiful and they need more females on the cast (its just Serena and Blair now). Plus, I love them adding a bit of diversity to the cast - its a bit more realistic. I was willing to give her a chance in the beginning, she was a young female in a powerful executive position. But then there was the scene at the end of 'Damien Darko' (kissing Chuck while she has another man in her room with just a towel on) at that really put me off her. I guess they want her to be a female Chuck, but I found this just skanky & slutty and not endearing. You can be powerful & independent without bedding lots of men. Maybe the writers will change my mind, but right now I don't like her character for that reason.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love Blair and Dan as frenemies (or even friends). Their banter is great and their undying love for Serena ties them together. But I LOATHE the idea of them as a couple. We have just watched 11 episodes (honestly 3.5 seasons) of Dan's love for Serena, it just seems strange for him to all of a sudden switch to Blair (I hate the idea of Blair being second to Serena in someone's heart again), especially after Serena admitted she wants to be with Dan. Also, it seems OOC for Blair to do that to Serena. I know people will say 'what about Serena and Nate' but that's not the same. We're talking about Blair who has pretty much always put Serena first (until Chuck), and I just don't see her being with Dan knowing how Serena feels about him. I guess I just love Blair and Serena's friendship too much! Besides, the show basically put Chuck and Blair back together and let everyone know that they are each other's true loves. They reason they aren't together now is because Blair wants to claim her own identity, which I truly believe she can without a man. Let her be single and rule the world!!
Hopefully this will be interesting - expanding Lily's (and Serena & Eric's) family.
Random sidenote - Blair wore this same dress in Season 2 "Southern Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"
