I'm just wondering, is there a significant amount of time lapsed within this episode? Cause the first video goes from Callie being unable to get out of bed to the second video wherein she has fired three physical therapists. Seems like at least a month has gone by between those events.
And personally, I miss seeing MerDer. I don't think that all the screen time needs to be on them but seeing as how they are the backbone of the show, they deserve a lot more. They deserve more than what's going on with their clinical trial because even if they're married, there's still a lot to explore in that relationship. It's not like a marriage can go by without any hiccups. I resent Calzona's storyline simply because they've taken up majority of the season when we could've consequently seen the development of Mer and Der's marriage.
I'm going to assume that this is the confrontation that will lead to Damon revealing his true feelings for Elena and the one that will cause her to realize her own feelings for Damon. Delena, baby!
This episode leaves me completely curious on the future of Barney and Robin. Is Robin going to end up with that guy from the clothing store? Or is she the girl that will make Barney finally settle down? If she doesn't end up with Barney, does that mean there's still hope for Nora or is there another person coming into the picture? So freaking curious!!
Personally, I'm tired of the way that Stefan and Damon are consistently framed with Stefan being the perfect one while Damon seems to have to gain Elena's forgiveness on a weekly basis. There's a lot more to both these characters; especially Damon and we've consistently seen that. I'm a Delena fan but I don't think that they'll be happening anytime soon. I think that the most we'll be seeing by the end of this season is Elena realizing that she does have strong feelings for him. There'll probably be a confrontation between them leaving Elena unsure of what she's feeling.
I don't know when Delena will happen but I'm pretty sure they will. Writers wouldn't have built Damon to be the way he is if they never had plans of exploring Damon and Elena as a couple. This season has actually dealt into this a lot deeper than in the first season cause they've slowly unmasked who Damon is beneath his exteriors. Delena will happen. I think we just need to see how that relationship turns out in order to decide who should really be endgame.
Max and Naomi = Loved them! As of now, I actually think this is the best relationship that Naomi's had. There's a lot going on for them than just physical attraction and pleasure and for someone like Naomi, it's really refreshing and fun to watch.
I didn't really feel Liam and Annie connect to the rest of the group but their storyline for the week was really sweet. I like how Liam did all of that to make Annie happy and I like how they seemed to be so in love. It was also really touching how they kept repeating the concept of looking back at that trip and "being you and in love". Seems like they really see a long term future for themselves.
Really liked Ivy and Teddy's individual stories because I think it opened a lot about what they're ready for in terms of a relationship. They're both entering two unfamiliar territories but it's nice to see them take that chance. And it's also good for the show as a whole since they haven't really tackled such stories before.
As for the big Adrianna-Silver-Navid drama, I personally think it's just a way for the show to create an exaggerated amount of drama for these characters. First off, I thought that Silver and Navid lost the spark that their relationship had. I'm not sure if exposing themselves made them lose what they had but I actually got quite annoyed seeing them together. I felt like they spent the whole episode taunting their relationship to Adrianna's face. As for the childish tactics of both girls, it was expected that such a cat fight would go down after the naked picture was sent. For a second there, I actually thought there would be some resolution to this seeing as how they both admitted to missing each other etc. But of course, this being 90210, Adrianna just had to mess with Silver's bipolar medication which will cause even bigger things to escalate. I personally don't like the direction that all three involved characters have taken. I feel like it's so far from who they started out to be and these aren't very good sides that we're seeing.
PS I thought Jessica Stroup's acting was relatively unbearable in this episode.
Wow! As previous VD episodes, this one will probably be another game changer. Go Bonnie though for really doing what she feels like is her purpose despite the personal consequences.
I think Grey's totally pulled this episode off. The premise of it being a musical was rational and the way they portrayed it, for me, was rather classy and elegant. They didn't necessarily have doctors bursting into song but rather the characters themselves singing what the background music of the episode would've been. Admittedly a few songs were off base but over-all, it was fun to watch and the episode kept its Grey's identity.
I thought this episode was really good. It would've been better if Addison were in it though. I understand that she was in SGH-MW for Callie but they've had a lot of crossover events wherein the characters get to be in both episodes of the week. Regardless of Addison's absence though, this was a good one.
I've never been a fan of the Violet-Pete relationship but I think I actually appreciated them in this one. I'm still not completely sold that they have something deep and strong going on but this was the best I've ever seen them. Pete was especially good in this episode. I liked how his character developed throughout those 40+ minutes. He really exhibited a lot of raw emotion through forgiving his mother and allowing himself to feel the grief of her death.
I like how Sheldon is finally getting a story of his own but I'm frustrated at how he's screwing it up for himself. I understood his initial need to defend Violet against Marla but to constantly bring it up? He ruined that himself. Marla was right in saying that Violet was a professional opinion while he was a personal one. I actually don't understand where he was emotionally because he defended his relationship with Marla to Violet but still defended Violet against Marla. Whatever the case, I hope he does something to right this wrong cause it's actually nice to see him with someone that's solely his.
Of course, I adored the Charlotte and Cooper scenes of this episode. I really liked how Charlotte asked why Cooper stopped playing because it was a scene about them getting to know one another better. When Charlotte surprised him with a piano, it was just beautiful. It really showed how much she loves him because she wanted to remind him how he special he really was. And I also loved her saying "You can't give up on the things you love -- not ever" and giving him such an endearing look. These two are just so great for each other that I can't wait for their wedding.
Definitely excited for this!! I've always thought that Jesse is the best one for Rachel because despite his original plan, I think their similarities of being so dramatic and the like make them ideal for one another.
I think they're definitely meant for one another but I agree when we need to see how these two really are as a couple. The good thing about them is that they have that element of more or less rushing into a marriage and now they have to deal with it. I think it'll be good to see how they work around their issues to make their marriage work.
I'm definitely excited for this! I have a feeling that their parents will contrast a lot in the sense that Cooper's parents are probably the incredibly loving and supporting one while Charlotte's mom is apathetic about the situation.
At first I wasn't too excited about this idea either but seeing how it's been built up to being Callie's perspective makes it a lot more sensible. I like how the premise isn't just about a bunch of doctors bursting into song but about Callie using songs as a medium of communication. Now, I'm really excited for this!
I'm glad to see that there'll be a story that's really revolving around Pete. I think all characters have more or less shined this season except him so this will be good.
I had a feeling that Addison wouldn't be pregnant but it was still sad to watch her go through that. All this time, we've known how much she wanted this and too see her feel so bad about it and Sam be so unaffected was sad and frustrating to watch. I still want her to have a child but at this point, I don't want her to be with Sam anymore. I despised his dishonesty regarding his infidelity and how unsympathetic he was about the situation with Addie. I think at the end of the day, this episode was to show how Addie and him just aren't on the same page anymore.
I like how Sheldon is finally getting a story of his own and I want to see how Violet handles the news of his relationship with her critique, etc. However until now, I 'm still not 100% convinced on the relationship between Violet and Pete. There's just something lacking between these two.
As usual, I liked the moments between Charlotte and Cooper. I think this was a really important episode for Cooper because he was going through insecurities regarding his career and it was so nice to see Charlotte beside him through that. Even if Charlotte was hard on him in the beginning, her reassurance at the end was beautiful to watch.
Pretty sure it'll be Naomi. Can't really imagine her going through the whole "teen pregnancy debacle" but I think it'll be an interesting story; especially with Max by her side.
@Jaime It's true how Shonda's words can be very tricky but I think a pregnancy for Addison now is still doubtful. Her opinion on an AddiSam baby is pretty reasonable so I think this is really not happening.
@Stephanie I think it would be horrible for Sam to not want Addison's baby if she is pregnant. He has been selfish recently and I don't like that much either. If they do have a baby, I think it's something the two of them should really discuss and want.
Same thing as I said on the video of this promo posted here, I don't think she's pregnant at all. Shonda herself said that there wouldn't be an AddiSam baby this season because it's too soon and I agree. This episode seems to be a "False Hope" moment for Addison just to make her become more tragic.
Based on the promo, I'm not really looking forward to Addison's story. Simply because I think it's not a good transition from her grieving Bizzy's death. Another reason is because after what happened with Sam and Naomi plus Addison finding out about it, the timing seems off in their relationship. I'd expect some form of turmoil between the two before they even talk about having a baby again, etc. And lastly, I just don't want to see Addison more tragic than she is now because we all know she's not going to be pregnant (based on Shonda herself saying there won't be an AddiSam baby this season). For me, this episode might just be another situation to make Addison feel worse and she doesn't need that.
I think Sara's performance validates her elimination but I can't help but think that Alexandria deserves it more for her terrible attitude. There have been countless girls who have had spiteful attitudes on the show but I think she's the first who deliberately brings that kind of attitude on set and in front of professionals.
I'm not too excited about this simply because i think the "Post-It Wedding" was enough to show how Mer and Der are completely committed to one another. At the end of the day, it's not necessarily about the wedding, etc. I think the direction of MerDer should be going in a new and different story instead of going back.
Glad to have Addison back! And also to see Charlotte taking on a medical storyline because since the rape she hasn't really been seen doing anything related to medicine, etc.
Okay, I think this is just an exaggerated challenge. I know that fashion can be very over the top, etc but flames? Seriously? I agree that ANTM was better in earlier cycles when they tested the talent of the models with simple challenges instead of those that would increase ratings.
