No worries because now I'm moving on. So tired of the Delena diaries. Proof was in the ratings last season. People just stopped watching because of Delena. Farewell Vampire Diaries. We'll always have Seasons 1, 2 and 3 to remember you by. Yay for our new obsession, The Walking Dead!!!!
Nope you were correct. Grace when she is confronted for lying has on the same dress in the bathroom scene.
I am of the belief that the Dylan, is a bit shady. I think he is releasing the pictures for a hidden agenda.
Dylan is shady. He's interested in a married woman. I thought the guy next to Neil in next weeks episode when he discovers the nude photo looked like one of Simon's poker buddy's. I wouldn't be surprised if Adriana, Simon and Dylan are all in a choreographed script to split Neil and Grace up so that they can all benefit.
Carissa; On the photos that were sent. It wasn't salacious, but I've seen guys do that, send a picture or a card to see if they get a response from a woman when their interested. A Long, long time ago about a year after I was married, it happened to my wife. This business contact that she met on a business trip sent her a card at work for helping him at a conference. She told me about it and said wasn't that nice of him. I told her the guy was going to hit on her, and to be careful. She laughed, and told me I was being ridiculous he was just being friendly. She came home one night, and said you're were right. I never saw it coming.I finally did find the promo and yes that is Neil. I thought the same about the lie argument and the sex but, I think Grace's top is different. The chemistry between Adrianne and Neil is there. However, Neil is basically a good guy deep down inside. Adrianne is pure evil and cutthroat. Neil isn't. When Grace gets her back bone and puts on the charm, she is perfect for Neil. They're just not letting you see it yet. Also in looking at the guys showing Neil the picture was the guy to the right of Neil saying "If that was my wife" one of Simon's poker buddy's?I think as Rush goes on you're going to see more and more layers to him. What actually made him where he doesn't want to get hurt anymore.
Am I the only one who thinks Neil has more chemistry with Adrianna than he does with Grace? I'm actually rooting for Neil and Adrianna. They're much hotter together than Neil and Grace. Grace is blah to me.
Totally agree. See a comment left below. You're not alone!
Carissa;Ok I just saw the trailer for next week. I did call it where I thought Grace was foolish for getting naked in the photo shoot. Neil's coworkers all saw it, and to boot after the photo shoot was over, she NEVER tells him about it. This is where I have a problem with the show. Even with all of the problems they're having, I can't believe she wouldn't tell Neil she did a naked photo shoot with her sister.Ok, I have no idea where the married thing is going with Simon. Also Is that really Neil having sex with Grace next week? I can't tell, it could be Simon? The ratings drop off last week was probably due to vacation weeks, but I'm starting to get tired of the show. I'll probably watch it to see what happens and still read your great reviews. But instead of staying up, it will be a DVR show.I like Rush much better.
The photos Dylan sent to Grace didn't show anything salacious. They were artful and beautiful. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who will let full blown nudes out without her permission. Then again, maybe he's pushing buttons just like everyone else. Simon seems to be taking a bit of a backseat at the moment. It was definitely Neil Grace was with in the bathroom. I paused it for confirmation. He also says "You lied to me" outside what appears to be a bar bathroom, so maybe that's when they have sex. Interesting that you like Rush. I find him incredible boring. One dimensional. I can't even watch anymore. We're all different!
Just binged on Thor: DW, some SHIELD, Capt A: WS, and some more SHIELD. GOTG has had to wait as only just out over here, but REALLY?!?! Could MCU get any more awesome? Mind you, DVR has been the lifesaver of this franchise. I think without being able to watch this progression one after the other, the casual viewer is lost. Can't wait for next season.
Seriously, what's with the nick must die a lonely, single old man?
Carissa, you know how much I love this site, especially for the different prospective we have on each episode. So I am not sure it's allowed but I have a few questions for you, mainly in regards to next preview. In regards to last night, do you think Neil intended for Grace to see his project first, as to give her insight and questions about what he is feeling? As to the promos, given that they tend to be misleading, with last night as a prime example, next week we finally get to see a sexual charged scene between Grace and Neil, and even hear Grace admit how much she missed that. Then we see Neil calling her out as a liar. Do you think it's in regards to her relationship with Dylan or is he finally about to expose the Damon thing? And we see Adriana telling Damon, he is going to be married, but it looks like it's to one of her female escorts. Do you think she's working on a set up of Grace or just trying to make Damon see his clients from a different perspective. I think she's out to maybe not hurt Grace, but force her to see what she's doing from a different perspective. Adriana is clearly jealous of what Grace has, so I can see her as being a little vindictive. Thanks again.
I don't think Neil is doing much thinking of Grace outside the moments he's in her presence or right after a "date." That was obvious when he blew past her current work (which would have given him all the information about her client he needed). I missed Simon in the preview, but it doesn't matter why Neil calls Grace a liar. He's one, too. His opportunity to call her out on her lies was over when he took up Simon's profession and chose not to confront her on it. As for Adriana, what told Grace about knowing a man who is finding himself and telling her there's still hope for Grace to do that same showed me she is interested in Grace finding herself, too. Which is why she was so insanely angry at Neil. If she had met a frumpy, boring woman, she wouldn't have understood why Neil wants to reconnect with his wife. Now Adriana knows Grace is worth reconnecting with. That is what caused her pain when she saw Neil. Apparently Adriana showing emotion made Neil want to know her better, or showed him he had feelings for her. It's all up in the air now.
Neil not noticing the pictures, as he was leaving for work, is a non issue at this point. In the same scene, he asked Grace about her latest project, and even complemented her on how great she looked. Koi painting could still play a part in the future of this show.
His not noticing her work shows he's still not understanding how much she wants him to be interested in her work. As for the koi painting, it was the one Neil ensured Adriana got at their masked mall.
Thank you Carissa for a well elaborate review again this week. I was pleased that this episode was more about Grace because she was the one who initiated the all situation at the first place, and we didn't know a lot about her own motives at this stage. And this is why I voted for her character in your last week's pool. She was the first to express her unsatisfaction with her life. Maybee dating Simon was less spectacular than launching a rebellion in a grounded airplane, but she was already trying to find herself back, and even if some of you are reluctant to admit that sex is not a proper way to explore your psyche - which in my opinion is an excellent way to start with (I just needed to say it sorry) - at least she was trying something new to move on with her life. I don't think she could have been able to restart her decorating career, if she hadn't been with Simon at the first place. She got some confidence and self estime back thanks to her sex affair. Now she may be ready to start a real relationship with someone who understands what she is about. Hopefully, it will be with the photographer ...in the next episodes. As for Neil, I think he should be with a woman who is more business like and less artistic. He really connects with Adriana, and not just sexually (though a good sexual relationship is often based on good connections to start with !) Let's face it, even if they were in love when they first started, Neil and Grace are really two very different persons and only one of them tried to adapt to the other, even decorating her own home to fulfill her husband's criterias. And yes, Neil didn't even look at the photos displayed on the table of Adriana's home ...he just never took Grace seriously. He took her for granted. He totally deserves what is happening to his couple. Looking forward to the next episodes and your reviews Carissa !
I agree with your assessment of the marriage. The affairs are a catalyst to figure out that they are not where they want to be. They were sleeping through their marriage, and now they're awake. Unfortunately, they're still sleeping (metaphorically) in separate beds. If they both realized the other was searching as desperately and desired change as much as they each do, maybe they would stand a chance. I'm not concerned about their marriage. We didn't know them as a happily married couple, so seeing them break apart (even if it's to eventually come together again) isn't painful. I'm enjoying the journey. I'd rather learn how people reignite their passion for life through a fictional TV couple than by having to do something detrimental to my own life. I also agree with Neil and Adriana being wonderful together. The series is called Satisfaction, not Rediscovering Marriage. It's about their search for happiness. Anika being with two unhappy parents isn't good. I grew up with two married people who were friends, but not lovers. They weren't satisfied and I've struggled with relationships all my life. The best thing Neil and Grace can do for Anika is to find true love and show her what it means.
As far as the criminal case and the bombing, I too believe it was the commissioners doing. I believe at one point, we headed one of the specialist clearly state to Tracy, that they had swept the entire contents of the bomber home, and found no more explosive. Andy and Sam started out so sweet, but I was nervous about the clearly flirting between Nick and Andi ,through out the episode. The final scene in the evidence room, helped me see their still truly in love. Poor Chole, her nieve innocence, and denial by omission, was hard to watch. I don't believe that she's harboring any feelings for her ex ,but the multiple lies or half truths has taken a toll on Dov and his trust. I think they can get it back but hopefully by next season, they are still invested and her ex isn't hovering around to try and sabotage things.
