I have to say anything with Aiden and his dimples will engage me for hours.
There is so much to like about this show I've actually resorted to taking notes. The snitch was a cute distraction and yeah, not Johnny’s brightest move—sticking unknown tech into his brain stem. ‘Geek out at the tech parties’ Utopia was aptly named, I started thinking of all the geeks I know who would love that place. Carleen’s “No one in the quad has seen this before. She is a long way from home.” fuels my thinking that the Quad is not the center of the Empire. “Karma called, she said suck it” is a lovely line. The entire conversation between Pree and Johnny. Pree knows Latin and corrects Johnny’s ‘in flagrant dictation’. That was a great conversation with Johnny saying he’ll have to pick sides and Pree saying he’ll pick hers. “They are terrible at relationships; I mean epically incompetent.” Oh and hello—what a bomb Dutch dropped into the afterglow—she’s married. Pawter didn’t know what to do when Dutch hugged her and I was pleasantly surprised that Pree was at the hospital. I totally agree, they went heavy on the emotion this epi but they did have their lighter moments. I especially liked Pree's shudder reaction to Johnny's explanation as to why he wasn't jealous; the hands slapping together was just ... 'please stop'. There is only one thing about the show that is starting to get on my nerves—can we get through one episode without D’Avin going shirtless? Yes, he's got a nice chest but seriously, the childe needs to learn to keep his clothes on.
I rather like seeing Luke running around shirtless. And since I've been paying attention I believe there has been at least one episode where he managed to keep his shirt on. About the third or fourth. I remember being surprised and remarking on it to a friend. Not that I want it to stop but I do wonder if it's good for him. Typically shows have their hot male actors give us at most a few shirtless scenes each season. Keep the fans hanging out for more. But they're just giving it out practically every episode. I can only hope it works in his favour. Boosts his sex symbol status rather than earning him a reputation as "that shirtless guy from Killjoys".
All scenes between Eric and Nicole are my favorites. I really hope the new writers find a way to bring them back together. They are incredible together.
well that was a crappy ending! really the kids are in charge now! i was hoping for a better ending, even if there is a 2 nd season pretty sure i wouldn't watch it.
I’ll start with the good. - Everything pertaining to Jaeger and her manipulation of D’avin. Although I do think we reached this story point rather quickly.- Pawter returns- Anything Johnny As far as the bad: - Pretty much everything else. I mean, it was Dark Matter worthy it was that bad.- Nothing in this episode will matter other than the fact that Dutch & D’avin hookedup. “Most fans were dreading the Dutch/D'avin hookup and what it would mean for the team. However, I must say it doesn't seem the writers are taking a predictable turn with that arc. Let's give them a shot to see what they come up with, shall we?” It’s not “what they come up with”, it’s how do they fix it. Other than that your review find excuses (and that’s what they are) to try and explain it. I get that Dutch is strong badass woman and can sleep with whoever she wants to and likely has. Also, most shows are giving there strong independent female characters healthy sexual appetites to show that they are strong and independent. It’s the “Girls” effect. But this hookup hasn’t done either character any favours, AND WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY!!! It served no purpose whatsoever. I was truly hoping that this show (or for god’s sake ANY show) could do away with the idiotic love triangle trope where once two people sleep together one (or both) realize they actually have feelings for someone else. It cheapens the characters beyond the telling of the story. Mark my word, by sleeping with D’avin and almost losing Johnny, Dutch has now realized that Johnny is more important to her. Way to make your character shallow. I really liked this summer show because it was fun for 5 episodes, now that they’ve turned up the drama in the last 2 episodes it’s losing a lot of its shine.
You see, what I don't get is that they had a recipe that was working with the "family" of Dutch, Johnny and D'avin. Why mess that up by having essentially the "brother screw the sister" for NO apparent reason other than a gratuitous sex scene. I'd like to think there's a story payoff to this but I don't see it. I doubt it's ever mentioned again.
There is no idiotic love triangle here, you're jumping the gun. Wait and see how the writers "fix it" since you prefer that term, before deciding you know exactly where the story is going. I know for a fact your assumptions are incorrect. Keep watching, you might be pleasantly surprised ;)
I have to agree with you. I absolutely hate hate hate triangles as much as I hate shippers. You had a wonderful family with Dutch and Johnny and how would you feel if you walked in with your brother and sister humping? Well - maybe a soap. The point is that it is a family betrayal and really little to do with sex per se. I also agree with Henry that Johnny is the glue for the show. But I still love the show and hope it gets a renewal.
Modern Family has been shit since the second season! Utter shit now!
I think sex drugs and rock and roll is boring.....not sure I can keep watching it...........
I am really pulling for Paul and Derrick the only two non-broken gays.
Great show, but I do not like the heavy emphasis on the Fernando criminal stuff. I like the computer hacking parts, big business dramas, and related plots. I am not that excited about another crime show involving killers. That's not why I started watching the show. I hope they get back to what makes the show unique.
