I feel like they didn't quite deliver on the drama the last episode promised and what happened with Derek turned out to be pretty predictible (unless he's lying or leaving something out?) Most of the other stuff was just filler. I liked it, but it wasn't really meaningful. I understand that they couldn't really add more serious stuff because the central MerDer story was more important. I don't think this cheating scare was as good as the initial part of the DC storyline. It was 90% misunderstanding while the DC part had two people with different motivations and goals trying to make a tough situation work without themselves or the other person too much. And I'm still not feeling Owen and Amelia. I just feel like they're trying to pair up two single characters who don't have any strong romantic ties to any other characters on the show. Like, the most significant interaction they had before Amelia came to his door was when she thought he was going to FIRE her. There's just not enough on-screen build up for me to care. They came from so far out of left field I was sure Callie and Owen were going to hook up with all the similar things they were feeling and all the time they spent together. I don't know, just for such an important episode, it didn't feel like there was a full effort behind it.
I agree about Omelia! They've hardly had any screen time together, and now they're together.
I am glad Derek is back but when I saw Stephanie bribing Ben I was like REALLY?????? Greys anatomy was built on doctors sleeping their way, flirting and guilting others into surgeries. She would have had more success asking Jackson than Ben but I guess the writers want to keep these two very far away from each other. They can still be friends though.
I don't think it's appropriate for Luke to be experimenting sexually at such a young age. I fear that the writers might be loosing focus on what the show was built on. It feels like they're searching for a story and not writing a story. I don't want to say it but the show might have "jumped the shark" with the spring break episode
I thought the episode was pretty much what I expect from the series. The only issue that I had was the "Deadshot" background storyline regarding PTSD. I'm a veteran with PTSD and have been around many other veterans straight off the desert that were trying to cope with PTSD and the entire family scene felt very forced, unreal, and incomplete. There are very healthy ways to help cope with PTSD. Yes, talking is one of them and Deadshot was not talking about it. He was a sniper. He made a very valid point when he said "when I pull my trigger someone always dies." That was his talent/skill and his very own cross to bare. But it really could have been more chemistry and more realistic. I do appreciate Arrow approaching this very REAL and serious issue with military members and veterans suffering from PTSD, I just wish it was researched a bit more and rehearsed a whole lot more. Thank you to the Arrow series and writers for trying to show the devesating effects that PTSD can bring to the families of veterans and military men and women! Thank you also for your service announcement at the end to bring awareness to PTSD. Other than that, yes the show had so really great moments and some down moments but all in all, it's Arrow and fun to watch.
I think you guys are confused about the time line - once Barry changed the beginning of the day with the Weather Wizard everything else that happened was a consequence. Barry couldn't have really changed anything else because there was nothing else to change time moved forwards. We saw the rest of the day transpire as it did. Fate has an metacontrol over the changes.
This is the first time I have remotely liked Cyrus. But the reviewer is probably right they are going into a swing with the show for the Olitz shippers (sick as they are). Personally I hate shipping and if there is a justice a pox upon both their houses. However previews are notoriously misleading - remember Castle this week?
"A pox upon both their houses"--love the Shakespeare reference. I know ABC is the absolute WORST with their previews, but I can't see next week going anywhere other than Anti-Jake, especially as we gear up for the final four or five episodes of the season.
ROFL - I did not see you complaining when the writers were anti-Fitz and tried to destroy his character or making Olivia look bad or making Huck the crazy killer. But now that your favorite Jake is going to be revealed for the bad guy he always was the whining has started. Actually I hope Jake is killed off so I can see the meltdown from his fans.
This was just boring. Only bright spot was Dean's confession and the BM scene at the end. I really hate Rowena and I also didn't buy the whole MOL connection. I really hope they don't reduce the MOC which is such a biblical item to a simple curse that some witch can undo.
i try hard to like this show. i just find Laura acts like she is still a teenager , also i feel she so wants to get laid first since the divorce . i like the rest of the cast so i will keep watching jmo
