They need to S.T.O.P leeching off stuff from other hit novels/tv shows/movies whatever under the pretense of "getting inspiration" seriously tired of this. Do they really have no original idea as to how to clear up the mess they have made in GG?
Last time they tried to be original we got the hotel pimping and the infamous fake cancer plot. Just saying they need all the help they can get in the inspiration department.
Problem is even then they completely eff up the execution.
'He's alive but I feel dead without him'. Oh brother! I can live with an eventual Chair endgame (even if my first choice would be different), but can we please (pretty please) hold off on the melodramatic dialogue?
I always thought Blair was an atheist. Interesting...
Seriously this whole SL makes no sense. It's just a way to postpone Chair and make the wedding happen for some more action.
It's either she has changed and actually believes in god, or is afraid to spill a secret....
I'm not sure her believing in God is any change. One recalls how she went to Church after she lost her virginity to Chuck. Even though she wasn't Catholic. And I also recall how she wanted God to send her boyfriend (Nate at that time) back to her. I certainly do not remember a point where she was actually portrayed as an atheist. It seems more likely that she was quite nominally religious (i.e. didn't take religion too seriously in her everyday life), but not that she was an atheist.
However, even if she were an atheist, the idea of her turning to God in a situation of extreme crisis is hardly impossible to believe. Many religious conversion stories seem to happen in situations of extreme crisis. She had just lost her baby and was also about to lose the man she loved. Suddenly there was a ray of hope exactly when she needed it. Now while interpreting this as a divine sign may irk someone who wishes to perform cold calculations or thinks that a rationalist analysis of any such occurence ought to be carried out, I see nothing to support that something like this could not happen. Perhaps one may need a bigger and more verifiable miracle if looking at things with the objectivity of a scientist or an analytic Philosopher. But demanding that everyone look at things like that seems strange.
The question is whether this is bothering people because it goes against the logic of the show, of human nature, or of their own attitude towards religion. If it is the first two, then I am not sure I have seen any strong evidence of that. If it is the third, then that can hardly be blamed on the show.
Blairs deal with god is defiantly something that Jack and Diana are behind. For sure.
Well as i said Iv they could have Uncle Jack be his dad and do a Darth vader speech. It would explain the 'empire' obsession.
I just realized if Chuck = Luke and uncle Jack =Darth Vader, does that make Bart senator Palpatine aka the emperor?
OK that's enough Star Wars geeking out from me.
blair just became the most stupidest character of this show after this episode. Josh Safran completely killed the Blair Waldorf we have once knew for the last 4 seasons.THIS
