He's by far the most troubled, helpless and in some ways, childish character on the show. That's what's making him so appealing.

Women love men with dead-mommy-issues and let's be honest here: Ed Westwick is hot. He fits this character perfectly.

People can hate him all they want, but its his scenes that you really pay attention to.I don't. Idon't like him as a character and I couldn't be less interested in watching the same plots all over again: Chair, Chuck issues or whatever happens with his hotels. Honestly, I don't care at all.

I don't agree. I don't want a man who is looking for his mom in my sheets, thank you.

I want a mature man who knows where he stands.

This kind of troubled men may be appealing for some part of the audience when it is tv, but in real life...

It is all very simple.

Every single season he is the bad guy, with past issues drama (Jack is a constant for a reason), who tries to change in order to win the girl.

It all turns bad at the end and he does something "epic" like:

1. Leave Blair on the airport alone.

2. Say I love you to her after making her suffer during a whole season.

3. Trade her for a hotel and propose after having sex with his sister.

4. Phisically hurt Blair.

5...

And people still think he is the victim, pfffff.

As a person, he's horrible. As a character, he can be entertaining. Say what you will but he brought the lulz in episodes 16 and 17 even though he was being utterly ridiculous. I like his one liners but don't think they should make him some kind of byronic hero.

Sometimes I wish the writers gave him more reason to be happy. But then I think of season 3 and early season 4. He had plenty to be happy about. Butt, The way he treated Blair. Its just, I mean, wow. Its hard to feel for a character that truly does not understand or feel another's pain. He hurts Blair, and then sits there and bemoans the loss of Blair&Chuck, not the pain he caused her. He buys her a necklace. He buys her a huge ass ring. But I never saw him contrite and ashamed for what he did. Its awkward at this point. I don't feel comfortable justifying his behaviour with his past anymore. He's not that little boy anymore. He needs to start taking responsibility. And until he does, everything he does and says is pointless.

Gosh. *pinches the bridge of her nose hard* So you think that's what that kind of issues is about? Well then, good luck finding your mature, issue-free man.

I love Chuck, but I'm afraid that the writers do not. He's always the bad guy no matter what he does, and it sucks because you can tell he wants to be good. I also think he's hilarious, his one liners are some of the best.

I love chuck! I loved him when he was the bad boy in S1 and when he was going after blair (and then going off the deep end after his father died) and I definitely love him now. for part of season 3 and the whole war-on-blair part of season 4 I wasn't so crazy about him, but besides that, he's always been one of my favorites. :) After all he's been through, it's understandable that he struggles a bit, but I think underneath it, it's obvious that he's a sweet, tortured guy. I just want him to be happy already!!

An "urban dandy."  That's our Chuck!

I get so frustrated whenever I hear about Chuck being a horrible person.  He's the kid of a self-made billionaire.  Why do people think that the 1% are like you and me, with our values?  Even the Humphreys are not exactly like you and me... they could buy and sell most of us, but their family wealth isn't limitless.

I could list all the reasons why I like chuck but I would like to concentrate on why others don't . In some people's eyes chuck can't be redeemed . It would seem that someone who is in therapy and working on their issues doesn't deserve a second chance . These people will not forgive chuck no matter if he apologizes to Blair or tries to seek help . Chuck fans are willing to give him a chance , other people think he is the devil incarnate who traded Blair for a hotel , I think everyone deserves a second chance , but obviously some people think if you make mistakes you should never be forgiven

Gossip Girl Quotes

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
