I think we like it because we can relate to it. We see people in our lives who make us think of the show. We love the unreal medical drama that makes us all wish we could quit our jobs and be surgeons. It's the characters who we've grown with since day one. They have almost become a part of us. It's the sexy on call room moments that make us just melt. Also, it's the excitment on thursday nights when we race for the T.V and turn off the rest of our lives :) Personally, it's my escape. When i just want to crawl under a rock and hide, i can put on GA and i just feel better. :) haahaa. I know, I'm an addict, but can you blame me? Seriously?
Grey’s Anatomy. Where do I start?
The narrations. “It's shocking how many kinds of addiction exist. I think the hardest part of kicking a habit is wanting to kick it. I mean, we get addicted for a reason, right? Often, too often, things that start out as just a normal part of your life (like me and Grey’s) at some point cross the line to obsessive, compulsive, out of control. (ok, fine. Even more like me. Definitely addicted) It's the high we're chasing, the high that makes everything else fade away.” All of the narrations are full of humanity and truth. “Still, they say you don’t kick the habit until you hit rock bottom, but how do you know when you’re there? Because no matter how badly a thing is hurting us, sometimes letting it go hurts even worse.” And there is NO WAY that I’m going to let go of this passion for Grey’s.
It’s a pleasure immersed in guilt. For the first half of each year (because they don’t screen new seasons of Grey’s until February), it’s the light at the end of every week, and the pleasant dawning of another.
Grey’s is an inevitably addictive cocktail of drama, comedy, romance, evocative narrations, flawlessly suitable music, suspense, relatable characters and impressive storylines. (and way too much more to list)
Not to mention PATRICK DEMPSEY!!! *drools* He's more than just McDreamy.
And yes! I agree with McAbby - I really really REALLY want to be a surgeon. And if I become one, I just hope it's as exciting as Seattle Grace =D
There are so many reasons why I love Grey’s. And this neurotic grey world of ours may be spinning “out of control” but here’s the thing. I love being McDreamied into my little world of fantasies.
I agree with McDreamyMmMmM where we don't really want that kind of drama in our own lives, but we're interested to see that kind of thing unfold in front of us, and not have it actually effect us. Well, I'd have to say sometimes these episodes affect me. some more then others because we all have our opions on some of the goings on. Plus I really realte to ever single voice over. I think the same exact way, I'm a writer so I see where that comes from, but I find myself contemplating in the same exact way or even with the same words. And I am also interested in the medical field even though I'd never get into it.
grey's anatomy makes me wanna be a doctor, which would be bad considering i definately wouldnt be able to handle the blood and everything and i wouldnt be able to be as strong emotionally as all of the surgeons at seattle grace :p
and the guys in greys anatomy are all gorgeous :) mcdreamy, mcsteamy, alex, denny, the list just goes on.
because of greys, i want to work in a hospital or just help people. so i've decided i want to become a geriatric nurse. grey's helped me finally decide what i wanna do with my life :)
*LOVEGREYS<3 it's an addiction and im emotionally attached!
