Hi everyone,

As you are all just as crazy about Grey's as I am, I'm sure you can help me: I will be going to Seattle this summer and I was wondering if you could tell me anything Grey's related I could go and see there. I already have the adress of Mere's house and I know all inside scenes are shot somewhere in California. But if you know ANYTHING- please help!!!

Thanks!

OMG I am so jealous!!! I hope you have a good time....you're going to have to go to Elliot Bay and Bainbridge island since that's where Derek lives and of course ride the ferry boats!!!

I was just there last summer.  Faboulous time by the way!  If you go down to the space needle, you can see the building that they use for the helipad.  We ate at the top of the Space Needle in the rotating restaurant, and you can see the landing spot.  I have a picture of it from there, and everyone thinks I am nuts.  Also, I advise riding the Ferry Boats, we were only there about a day and a half, as our Cruise to Alaska left from there, but don't miss Pike's Place Market.  Awesome, and although they haven't used it in any Grey's episodes (I was hoping they would happen to be filming while I was there LOL!) it is a great place to visit.

Enjoy!!

Ok, not sure why it went twice there, but if you click on the first link, it should work.  Also, if you notice in the first episode I think, when they show the helipad and the outside of the building, the actually have the KOMO 4 News sign on the building.  Funny.

Plus, they often show the water with the shipping yard, and our cruise ship sailed out from right near there,  and we saw alot of the bulk carriers or whatever those big cargo ships are called that they show on some of the panoramic shots during Grey's so that was cool.

I was gonna say Meredith's house, but you already have that one down! It's literally a minutes walk from Kerry Point. I was expecting it to be so much further, but I walked up the road and was like 'Wow! It's Meredith Grey's House!'

Like marriedmymcdreamy said; the Ferryboats. I loved it. I went over to Bainbridge on it, and I was like 'OMG! Patrick Dempsey has probably been on here. I'm gonna go stand in the spot he stood in when he saw Addison on it.' Yeah, I'm a little bit sad like that.

When I went up the Space Needle, I completely forgot about the helipad being on the building right beside it, but if I went back, I'd definitely pay more attention to that.

Pike Place is a must! (Even if it's not Grey's related!) It's a must. I went to this store called 'Golden Age Collectables' and bought 2 Grey's scripts from there. $30 well spent in my opinion. But you get to see the sign that they have a picture of in Seattle Grace. There's the one with the clock on Pike and the other on Pine. Which are right next to each other anyway!

The view from Kerry Point of Seattle was absolutely amazing. Space Needle and downtown Seattle from there, you just can't imagine how beautiful it is until you see it. And of Elliott Bay, that's pretty awesome too. You can see Bainbridge Island from there too.

If you do head over to Bainbridge, even though there wasn't a great deal to do there, it's worth a visit. I went to a nice little pub type place which looked out to the harbour and had my dinner there. I think it's called The Harbour Public House.  Seems obvious really, but I only know that because I just looked at the map I have!http://www.harbourpub.com/home.html

I think that's about it really.  I'm sure once you get there, you'll find so much you want to see and do. I had so much I wanted to do and even though I was there for a week after coming back from Alaska, I couldn't cram it all in!

I am definitely going to ride a ferry boat!  Wow, Leilah, they have Grey's Anatomy scripts??? Were you just lucky or do they have large amounts of them, so I could still get some...? I hope that store is easy to find. Can't wait to go now!

You can get Grey's scripts on ebay quite often too...

I'm pretty sure that they'll have more. They had loads of different scripts in there from both movies and TV shows. I didn't notice the Grey's ones at first, I was gonna buy To Kill A Mockingbird, then I suddenly noticed one and looked behind it and there was another. I'm sure that they get more in, it seemed like the type of store to get more of them in. If you go into Pike Place Market where either one of the signs are, you should see a bit leading to the part of the market underneath, just kind of walk through there and it was right at the end. There were those cardboard figures of movie/tv stars outside, so it's kind of hard to miss!

And marriedmymcdreamy is right, eBay is a good place to get them too!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.

Meredith
