Yes this. I am actually wondering if they try to apply the "anger gives strength"(not that it is lame, but it ain't making no sense in Elena's case because she is human) to Elena. I dunno how many here thought about it, but iin the beginning when she hitted that scarecrow with Alarick, she basicly charged towards it and hitted it full power. Then because she hope a lot, she can suddenly stand in place and make an uppercut like punch without using her body and weight, and then suddenly is strong enough.
So for me, either Alarick rigged her device so it needed less power to blow off, or they are making her into a Jedi. . .

I was really surprised by Michael drinking vampire blood, I didn't expect that! Is still a vampire though? Or another new creature...
And I never really liked Vicki and it was obvious that she's going to do something stupid, just as Matt! But better making a deal to kill Elena than Tyler...

The "Elena has to die" part was also bad.
As one season of that SL wouldn't be enough... they keep repeating it in S3.

I mean, I kinda expected to see him in his "hiding place", but NOOO then Elena would get less screentime and that's a No-go because everyone loves Elena and everyone needs Elena.
I mean, I don't hate Elena, but lately she's pissing me off. Especially with DE.

Plots might be the same in many shows, even good ones(Hell BtVS ran the identical plot for 7 season), but with TVD it ain't mixed up. It is all "Elena have to be protected" and everytime, the newest line of big bad(s) is joining the team to help guarding her. . .

I'll just guess the sl for next season: Everyone has to protect Elena from Mikael because he needs her blood to do something very bad. Damon/Elena will still have sexual tension, Damon does stupid shit, Mikael is actually just a guy who feels sad because his wife cheated on him 1,000 years ago. Everyone will hug him and be all "It'll be okay". Then in the finale, Damon and Elena will be all D: "I will ALWAYS protect you Elena, I love you bla bla. Thanks for changing me into this good person." E: "You're welcome, Damon, but ... I love Stefan."
