After last week's trainwreck episode and a really pointless and useless thread discussing the disgusting main triangle and why the main 3 are such sluts and sinners this IMO effectively bounced back and got me excited for the mid-season finale. Unlike a lot of other viewers, I actually enjoyed the sire twist, since it was an effective way to keep the triangle going(since the writers are obsessed with it even though it's overstayed its welcome) and I don't care who Elena bumps uglies with in the end, so I really enjoyed this episode and it's exploration into the bond. I'm so intrigued with this Shane guy and I really hope they reveal more of his agenda next week. Also, wasn't it refreshing to finally see Bonnie with a smile and having fun? Since Bonnie has always been near and dear to my heart, I can't wait to see what this "expression" will lead to. Also seems they could spit on DEVELOPMENT last week because as suspected, they didn't let it die anyway and the hardcore fangirls are still going to keep hopePosted 12/7/2012 7:04:02 AM #

Not going to bother looking up any sort of spoilers in tumblr tags about this. Hearing people lol their hearts out at the fact that Steffie and Damon acted like misogynist assholes, Elena continued to act completely out of character and that Caroline being raped by Damon was ignored again(not sure about this, they really did not bring it up alongside all the drama?) was enough.
Its hilarious that show has degraded to a point that you can put everything even remotely relevant to "plot" into half a sentence, without even watching the show.Posted 12/7/2012 8:26:43 AM #
Sickening part was Caroline was demonised by Elena for jumping in bed with him easily lmao Fuck you ELENAPosted 12/7/2012 8:43:33 AM #
I HATED the fact that the inconsiderate bitch threw the darkest period of Caroline's life in her face like did you fucking forget how terrified she was?how she was sobbing in her arms when Damon tried to kill her.like seriously. and what was worse,Caroline actually had to apologize for it.and people call Caroline a bad friend, what kind of friend is Elena when she didn't even pause to think about how Caroline might feel about her dating her rapist.the way they completely side step issue this issue annoys the fuck out of me.i'm going to go on a really long rant about this on tumblr .X(Posted 12/7/2012 8:59:22 AM #
Meh ranting about TVD or applying logic to TVD on TUMBLR usually ends up with me getting 40+ asks of spam urging to kill myself and defending elena in bad grammar.Posted 12/7/2012 9:32:12 AM #
Well so it turns out that Damon was talking about the other chick in the trailer, so no shady stuff happend when they slept together. Furthermore it turns out the sire bond(although this was known, it wasen't verified) that the sire bond doesn't change the feelings of a person, but the actions of a person. With vampire sireing it seems one have to be in love with the person for it to happen at all.
Caroline was being an annoying b**** to sugar coat it. She was pretentious, judgemental and presumptious. While they shouldn't have brought up what happend between Caroline&Damon, the apology was right where it should be. . .Posted 12/7/2012 11:21:10 AM #

perpetrator does not have to be aware of the action, for the action to be qualified as is. If her decision to sleep with him was in any way affected by something that would cloud her consent, that would be it.
Damon might not be "rapist" by law, but is from moral standpoint.

I am sorry but no.
Its the perfect example of present day rape culture.
Caroline brought up her doubts about a person who is essentially her rapist and who abused her and almost killed her and what happens in turn?
The said rape-victim is then slut-shamed by her friends and is forced to APOLOGIZE.
I am sorry, but anyone who thought such scene was in any way good idea should be sentenced to jail or just outright denied any human rights.Posted 12/7/2012 11:38:08 AM #
