any jeremy stans?

jeremy is one year younger than bonnie. two tops. and like someone already pointed out, he's more mature than half of the centuries old vampires. i'll never understand why people act like a two year age difference suddenly equates bonnie robbing the literal cradle when it's not. or even worse, like jeremy is some immature crayon scribbling booger eating little kid who doesn't know anything. it's like forced down our throats that elena is someone who's incredibly young but forced to mature due to circumstances. so that can't be true for jeremy too? is he off in a corner while elena experiences all this alone?
also don't understand when people claim it's rushed. i'll admit seeing that scene between them at the masquerade ball seemed kind of random, but in reality it's not uncommon for siblings regardless of older or younger to crush on the friend of their other sibling. i know i had plenty on my older brother's friends. and it's not like they were complete strangers before they got together.
i didn't particularly like jeremy and anna together at all, so i'm not really defending what jeremy did there. i hate it because he did betray a character i happen to love but also because i have never been here for jeremy and ann. but i also don't believe that he didn't love bonnie at all because season two pretty much proved that he did through his actions.
this show is so gross usually with relationship dysfunction. compared to bullshit certain characters have to overcome in order to be in these relationships, i'd much rather be cheated on. just saying.

As much as i'm not a huge Jeremy fan the only time in the first three seasons that i could stand him was when he was with Bonnie. Never really felt him and Anna either. And you're so right about the mature thing. I kinda do hate when people don't give Jer his props for delevopment. He is actually one of the VERY FEW characterrs on the show that i can see changes in from seaosn 1 and actual development. He's lost just as much as Elena..fuck that, he's lost even more counting the 2 dead girlfriends so he is very mature for his age. Still think he's annoying as fuck...well he's gotten much better recently, but gotta give the man his props.

A 17 year old girl dating a 15 year old boy IMO maturity wise is huge. Not so much of a big deal when you hit the twenties but teens are different. Maybe Jeremy was mature for a 15 HOWEVER he was not ready to be in a serious normal relationship, especially after the 2 dysfuntional ones he had before Bonnie.I never blamed Jeremy for the fall of Beremy because in my mind Bonnie knowing his history should have stayed clear from that. Okay I will not defend Jeremy for cheating but how the fuck is he "a child", a child would not even pick up on the shit going on in that town on his own. Maturity can vary widely. For instance, I know an 18 year old male who is far more mature than his 22 year old female companion

For that matter i have no idea why everyone around him keeps treating him like a kid either. Thats why i was so pissed when Elena compelled his ass to go to Denver. The first time i can understand but not the second. Like really bitch! She had no right. Jer is as much apart of this as anyone else.
