So what do you guys make of Katherine returning? I've been thinking about this all day... (while listening Bloodstream by Stateless, which now seems like the sexiest song ever) We've been sorta waiting for this ever since the beginning of the season...right? But I never actually thought what it would mean if it really happened.
- How will the brothers react? I believe Stefan is free of her charm + he has Elena, who trumps Katherine with her personality. But what about Damon? He said himself it was real for him with Katherine. Will he fall for her again, even after all she's put him through? And if he does, might she bring the "old" Damon back? Thus making it Team Stelena vs. Team whatever-name-Damon-and-Katherine-makes?
- What will Elena do? Not even mentioning the whole awkwardness of them looking the same, Katherine just killed her real father. Ok, not that Elena could even do anything to Katherine but still... Will they even meet?
- Most importantly - what does Katherine want? I've already laid out a few theories but then I came to think of her relations with the Salvatores. Do you think she'll want them back? Is she like a child - when you have the toys you don't want them but as soon as someone else (in this case, someone who looks EXACTLY like you) has them for herself, you want them back? She noticeably ditched the brothers, so why come back now? Maybe she wants Bonnie for something? The possibilities are endless. My guess is she saw how much fun they all were having in Mystic Falls and wanted to join in, lol!
I know that no one really has the answers to these questions yet but that's how you pass the time until you get them...lol. and after this episode I am finally (yes, it took me that long!) hooked!

I dno, I don't really like any version of what their names make....maybe that's a sign they shouldn't be together? haha.

katherine is a cold hearted bish. i still can't believe she wanted the tomb vamps dead. remember pearl was one of them and pearl was supposedly 'her best friend' come to think of it, i'm sure the tomb vamps are all vamps whom katherine possibly turned or brought with her from wherever they were. that's cold blooded.
i'm sure the answer of WHY will be totally stunning

Yeah, she a biatch, though I'm interested in her background - how she herself got turned etc. We only know one side of the story. I don't know if she has any real association with the tomb vamps..But from what we know she likes to be in charge and center of attention. She probably wanted to get rid of the old buggers for some selfish reason, I definitely don't think it was for the good of the town.

I just finished watching the season finale for the second time and the beginning of the episode allready showed us that elena looked like katherine in that dress for founder's day, i think that was a big clue, to what happend at the end of the episode ;)

Omg it was a big shock! My heart just stopped! Lol but I guess it should have gaven it away when she scared John coming into the kitchen. But I think Damon knows. Watch it again. I really thinks he knows it was katherine and thtz y he kissd her. His facial expressions make me curious! But Damon I think is over Katherine. He might be skeptical at first but he will totally go for Elena in the end. Cuz he said "now that katherines out of the picture." Ok, to everyone who thinks Damon knew - do you guys really think if Damon knew it was Katherine, he would let her go into Elena's house?! That's the only thing that keeps me thinking he didn't know. Of course, he would have noticed, after all he is a vampire and he senses blood and all. Maybe he was just overwhelmed by the days events...

Even if Damon did realise that it was Katherine, he might of just been too shocked/surprised/whatever-he-was to do anything. I'm sure that season 2 will start off at the exact place they left us (I'm hoping so anyway...). I really do wonder what Damon would of done next...Would he go back to his house and then Stefan would be there etc etc.That would be weird...Can't wait for season 2)))
