Klaroline or Forwood?
No, I agree that TO will survive. What I don't see is the baby plot lasting 6 seasons or even a year. You can keep insisting that Plec is stubborn enough for it to happen, but caving in after viewers whine too much has still always been her thing. And really, Joseph may be above CW but you never really heard of him until he got casted. This doesn't mean he should stay there forever, but sticking around for a few more years is a good idea especially when you're the lead. Their shows survive because of the support online imo
They're dating? I'm so jealous.
dude if JP's smart she's already rewritten baby plot lol. What nonsense though. Can't believe she wants that to be the premise of the show. A baby saving a 1000 year old psychopath that's gone around killing kids (ex: Katherine's family). I'm pretty convinced this show will be for non-TVD viewers. They're kind of re-characterizing Klaus. In that scene where Marcel kills the witch, Klaus looked on in what looked like horror. And disapproval. Like really?
TO is about Klaus' redemption so they have to make him the anti-hero/good guy to Marcel's villain.
Klaus is basically gonna be Damonized. Silas will start off as the big bad in season 5 then we will end up feeling sorry for him. Rinse, repeat.
If TO survives the same way Gossip Girl survived, I'd rather it gets cancelled tbh. In the last couple of seasons GG was a show everyone made fun of, people were embarassed to admit they watched it, the ratings were a joke even for CW standards, terribleness all around. Dnw.
But I agree with Flora about JM (and Claire, and DG) sticking around. They may be more talented than the average CW alumni, but none of them is really high-profile enough (yet) to have a good shot at the movie industry and the show is a steady paycheck. I hope it doesn't last for 6 seasons though, because it will probably 'burn' most of the cast.
Silas will start off as the big bad in season 5 then we will end up feeling sorry for him.
Silas is already more ridiculous than Klaus ever was if you think about it, since all the drama surrounding him starts from his epic love with some witch or something. HE DID IT ALL FOR LOVE, OK? LMAO
The only thing Silas's got working in his favor is that he's being played by Paul Wesley.
6 seasons will burn them out as much as us and I already see Daniel turning into their Paul when shit gets more stupid. Ed Westwick was so burned out by season 5 that he even said Chuck should die. Although it was a joke, you could tell he was half serious and gave no fucks.
I'm pretty convinced this show will be for non-TVD viewers. Which is stupid because these characters got a following from TVD, it is perfectly fine that you want a new audince, but you still need TVD's in order for I dunno, ratings and support? So it's silly to drop that and expect this cast to gain a new audience so easily. They're dating? I'm so jealous.
Why? He's fug. He looks like Glenna's bf in 5 years
LOL Westwick, you could tell from his 'acting' how bored and over the show he was.
If Pleccy or the CW folks think TO will be a hit with new viewers, they're in for a big surprise. Reports from Comic Con said clearly that it will be difficult for people unfamiliar with TVD to understand what's going on or care about the characters, and as if that wasn't enough, TO will be airing opposite the most anticipated new show of the season.
New viewers are going to be limited. It's standard TVD viewers they'll have to attract. That's why I find it stupid that DG is so bold about shippers, dude is alienating one of the few fanbases willing to give the show a try.
And for some reason I thought Ellen Page was a lesbian. Isn't she?
