Haha, the person who wrote that fanfiction clearly read the books because that whole KCS scene has book DES written all over it - book Elena also froze everytime she was like that with Damon and then Stefan would happen to see them like that... but taking into account how little tv DES entertains me now, I'll take this one.

LOL So true. Although his wooden face in the background when Klaus bit Caroline made my life, most of the time I felt like he didn't really belong there.

Book Elena was a major bitch and an ice-queen. She could not care less about sense of morality or things being "right" or "wrong". She would gladly watch the world burn as long as her friends and people she cares about were safe. She was bassically female Damon. She would most likely be either amused or incredibly irritated by tv-show Caroline, since, hell no, bitch, no one tells Elena, the god-damn fucking queen of Robert.E.Lee highschool, what to do or how to be.

Bonnie was cheerful, innocent and happy. She was not about morality, she was not about anything like that. She was about the humanity. She was the most human and the most innocent character - someone who will always see the positive side in anything that ever happened.
The CLOSEST thing in the show to book-bonnie was tv-bonnie in first TWO episodes.
