There wasn't a white oak stake 2 seasons ago silly. She is a vampire, half her friends are vampires, they're all sired to Klaus. How is Kol's sire line any different from them, seriously. Lets start making sense. Even if she did this as a human it would still be hypocritical due to the fact that she's involved with vampires.

Making sure a thousand year old murderer and every other murderer that he created being dead is ONE decision I will never hate Elena for. I dislike the character Elena but hate is a strong word. What i am confused about is why is everyone so pissed at her character over Kol? Yea it was her stupid plan to kill him but it fell through when Kol was able to leave. Kol returned on his own to kill her and rip Jeremy arms off<funny by the way> What was she suppose to do?

Exactly why this is a decision Book Elena would make(who would gladly watch the world burn if it meant people she cares about are safe). Its the first good decision. Just two seasons too late to matter.

I dislike the character Elena but hate is a strong word.
I count Elena as the worst creation in tv shows since Hidden Palms, a character whose mediocrity of narrative is worse than that of Bella Swan. I will forever hate and despise everything and anything that has to do with that useless cardboard bint
There are three things I will never hate her for though - most of S1, daggering Elijah and wanting to kill whoever original she wanted now.

What I don;'t get is how the FUCK...Kol - as in a 1000 something yearold vamp - could not a) not tackle Elena properly, b) miss to stake her for good, c) be so weak as not to pull that knife out of himself and allow Jeremy to shower him with vervain water.....think about that!
