Nina as Elena

   what do you guys think of her?  I have been following her ever since she was on Degrassi and I realllllyyy like her....what do you guys think?

   she's great! i'd never heard of her, and was hoping the show was gonna go with a "name" star. But she can play funny, serious, sexy... whatevs! so far, i couldn't be happier.

   I think we need to learn a lot more about Elena. She keeps complaining that Stefan isn't open enough... but what do we know about her. her parents died in a car accident and her brother is a mess. okay... what about elena??

   I have to say I just love Nina at Elena!! She does a great job.  I have read the novels and I actually like how she plays Elena better than in the novels!! I would especially rather her play Bella in Twilight also..

   That's the whole point...she is more Bella then Elena... Elena is blonde haired and blue eyed. AND She would never in a million years say she didn't want to be with him... let alone say it OVER and OVER again. WISHY. WASHY. I agree with Joanna.

   Her character can be annoying sometimes. As an actress, she's ok, but nothing spectacular.

   I think Nina is doing a great job as Elena, she is a really great actress IMO.  The characters of Bella in Twilight and Elena in TVD are very different.  Elena's character is much more mature and independant.  I like Elena's character much better, I hope she and Damon end up together because they are SO hot together and their chemistry has just been building and building.  That first kiss, which I am so waiting for BTW is just going to melt my tv and cause earthquakes around the globe.

   Yea she is doing an ok job it's just that that is not supposed to be the way she is. I mean she LOOKS more like Bella on the show. But, really her personality is supposed to be way differnt too.
