As long as this brings some of better Expanded Universe storylines, I am all for it.
I would rather have a movie trilogy prequel to prequels on kotor timeline, considering that was the only prequels that really resonated with me as true star wars story(complete with "i am your father" type of unexpected twist) and it would be nice to see the beginnings of Sith and Jedi, the beginnings of it all in a big ass movie trilogy, as its easily the best part of Expanded Universe.
Of course the future parts of expanded universe are great too but its far more of a mixed bag with far less consistency(and some quite ridiculous stuff) and the whole Luke/Mara_Jade things would not work on big screen.

Also nope Whedon most likely won't be in it. He has a contract with Marvel to create marvel-related stuff and I doubt he would have time to do both Star Wars AND Avengers at once.

Just watched "(500) Days of Summer". This is connected to the thread in the way that Marc Webb directed it, the guy who directed the new Spiderman movie, which is from a Marvel comic, and Joss Whedon is affiliated with Marvel.
Great movie!
Anyone seen it? Because how can it be, that a director that so creatively directed this great movie, managed to make such a bad Spiderman movie?
