True, sad, but true. It's like she along with some others don't have there own personality, they are like puppets writers can use to do wathever suits them for that episode, even if it is out of 'character'. I would love it, if tvd would fix this because it would make the show even better.

I remember watching this scene a few nights ago as well and what symbolism and metaphorical link are you talking about here.

    Oh riight!

I was like, "When the f*** did that happen". That was when Angel and Buffy took out that guy with anger management issues aight?

  7. yes.

I remember watching this scene a few nights ago as well and what symbolism and metaphorical link are you talking about here.

The pairing of that episode pretty much paralelled Buffy and Angel. A monster who can;t help it and a hypocritical girl who forgives it all   Midway through episode there was a similar scene with the anger-manageent-issues-guy hugging his gf in similar way crying. NOw in the end of episode we hav them both dead on the ground with Buffy and Angel "repeating" the similar scene, with the "monster" returning to normal and hugging while crying his girlfriend.

Then we had the whole bathroom scene with buffy taking the girl in front of a mirror to talk about that whole relationship and in some sense also talking to herself in the mirror.

  8. Then we have the psychiatrist's talk about becoming "love's dog" and how it relates to buffy's almost obsessive and distracted behavior through that episode.

Yeah, I just watched the episode in season three where the adults were eating candy bars and they were becoming more like teenagers...that episode was hilarious, especially Giles, he was such a bad boy and the making out with Buffy's mom was funny, especially when Buffy spotted it.

  10. I loved how Buffy goes past them then does a hilarious double-take expression of "wait WHAT?"

Also I love how the candy episode is actually quite important(not plot-wise) few seasons latter :)
