OT: Teen Wolf
I was watching this show the other day and it just keeps getting better and better. So I had a feeling you would make a thread about this show. What I love about this show is how they act like normal teenagers thrown into a supernatural world. The leads character aren't perfect Mary sues. Allison is more of badass then Elena would ever be and the writers aren't hoping for her to be one she is one. She rebels against her parents seeing scott behind there backs. She didn't want to be defenseless so she learns how to shoot a bow and arrow. Then in the last episode she pulls a knife out on a creature we know nothing about. Telling it to bring it on! Lol I like how the show incorporates adults into the show and just doesn't throw them in there like some other show we all know about. I see anti hero coming on with Derek. Who is very bad ass and doesn't take shit from no one. But overall I think all the characters are being developed nicely. Not bad MTVPosted 6/11/2012 10:40:53 AM #

OH GOD THIS SO MUCH.
What do TVD teenagers do after encountering supernatural creature? Invite them for a drink next day.
What do Teen Wolf teenagers do after encountering a supernatural monster? Get wasted on drugs and alcohol or almost go insane.
Seriously the way Jackson dealt with his encounter with an Alpha was PERFECT. Paranoia, nightmares, realistic post-traumatic stress disorder.
Lydia spending time completely wasted with drugs and alcohol also was very fitting even if her encounter with supernatural back then was shorter.
NOT TO MENTION: people get murdered? TOWN REACTS.
Lol I like how the show incorporates adults into the show and just doesn't throw them in there like some other show we all know about.
AND THEY ARE ACTUALLY COMPETENT AT THEIR JOBS.
Cops actually do their jobs and Hunters are actually dangerous. Unlike in TVD.
I see anti hero coming on with Derek.
I think he first has to stop being so drunk on his own power. With Argent Family being so trigger happy, the last fucking thing you want to do is add more supernatural stuff into the mix. He needs to learn to be responsible with the shit he does.

THIS. Entire lead cast is very realistic.Posted 6/11/2012 11:08:20 AM #
And yes, Allison Argent is definition of awesome. the only Argent that I do not hate.
Although I am a bit worried where they are taking her character with parallels to psychobitch Kate as well as the spoilers of upcoming few weeks about her getting a little bit too trigger-happy.
Really interested in on what kind of monster Lydia is. I think the writers are using the Lizard-creature as a distraction and she is something else. We saw her have long nails, so I guess some feline-like thing is possibilitiy.
I would not be surprised on if the lizard-creature is that photographer. His fascination with Allison is a wee bit fishy.Posted 6/11/2012 11:14:53 AM #
And no stupid chillie bake offs, decade dances and any other silly events that towns never really have all the time! Lol
Well Alison getting trigger happy may have something to do with facing that creature. She might be more likely to shoot first before looking. But it's still another way of showing that she's not perfect! Lol
I love how the parents add to the plot and especially stiles and his father. Very odd but funny relationship.
By the way why do you think Lydia is a creature of some sort. Is it because of the hallucinations she was having? She was in the woods roaming around naked for a couple days. Are those the reasons why you suspect her to be something?Posted 6/11/2012 11:47:04 AM #

She got bit by Alpha. NOTHING happened, which implies she IS some sort of creature. Humans either become werewolves or die. One of the s1 finale cliffhangers was exactly Scott asking on "what the hell is she then?"
And yes there's halucinations of hers and her roaming the woods situation too.
Also we did see someone with long red nails in the graveyard scene. Omega sure did attack the ambulance, but it was quite clear that eating that liver off that corpse was Lydia.Posted 6/11/2012 11:59:52 AM #
Do you think you guys are enjoying this show slightly more because you keep comparing it to TVD in it's current state? It just seems like it, because a lot of the reasons for the show being good is because it doesn't do what TVD does. Shouldn't this show be held to overall standard, not to TVD's.
I don't know, maybe I just don't like the acting on Teen Wolf, although there are alot of things that bother me, like when I said the show doesn't have stakes I didn't mean there isn't a real threat for the characters to die, I just meant it seems like the characters' problems and dilemma's all seem so trivial and immature, probably as a teenager's should be, but it just works on my nerves. I just don't by any of the storyline.
Also while I agree that alot of the characters on Teen Wolf are better than Elena, that doesn't say much, a whole bunch of them are bland, boring and not fun to watch, especially Scott and Derek. I'd rather watch watch plot device Bonnie or a million PSA episodes by Glee, which says a lot.Posted 6/11/2012 1:15:29 PM #
No to me the show is entertaining and realalistic as far as people being in the supernatural would. Lol I have no problem with the acting at all. I do admit Scott's character had to grow on me. Allison I liked right seat, Derek is just a mysterious bad ass who isn't letting anyone get close to him. Stiles is very likable and funny character. Lydia is deep down a caring person but acts like a bitch to cover it up. But there's a lot of shows weve compared TVD too. Not just Teen Wolf. We've compared Revenge, OUAT, Buffy and Grimm.Posted 6/11/2012 1:51:13 PM #
. I do admit Scott's character had to grow on me.
Scott was relatable from the start. I personally did not start to like Stiles till the mid s1 when he showed more serious side and showcased that he is not just a "court jester" of the group.
Lol I have no problem with the acting at all.
neither do I, which is surprising as usually acting in MTV shows sucks hard.
Allison I liked right seat
THIS. Multiplied by times ten when we found out in which family she is and then my like for her just kept increasing with every episode.
Lydia is deep down a caring person but acts like a bitch to cover it up.
Lydia is one of downright favorites for me. Reminds me of a ....weird mix of Spike and Cordelia.Posted 6/11/2012 1:55:59 PM #
Lydia does remind me of cordy and I can see them going on that direction with her. Oh by the way. I thought since they killed the alpha wolf who bit Lydia last season. That it stopped the curse from happening. I recall them saying that in the last episode of season 1. Well MTV is used to casting reality tv people. Lol I didn't dislike Scott and I didn't find him unrelatable. His character for me got better and better. Allison on the other hand I liked from the start.Posted 6/11/2012 2:08:18 PM #

Nope. It only works if the one who was bit kills the alpha.
Whatever Lydia is has nothing to do with Alpha living or dying.. Her body outright denied any sort of change. Which is impossible for a human. Whatever it is that was "activated" by that remains to be seen.Posted 6/11/2012 2:15:16 PM #
