First of all why can't I remember when Esther tried to kill Elena? Can someone help me out with this one?
And now my thoughts about the episode---Totally a Delena fan but loved the moment when Elena flew into Stefan's arms during the dance. I LOVE how VD cues the perfect lyrics to go with the scene (think Damon and Elena dancing to "All I Need"). Anyhow I'm SLIGHTLY annoyed that every single time Damon gets just a little hurt he has to do something reckless. I mean if Elena would ever even consider a relationship with him surely that would be on her mind. "Don't upset Damon or ELSE...." It's just getting a little old. I mean can't get angry/hurt and do something else to channel his anger?
And how long is the next hiatus?

1, Esther wasnt on the scene when she tried to kill cardboard princess. She was the one who had a deal with Vicky to off that boring troll so that she could come back to this world again. It was just mentioned that Esther had a deal with Vicky to live by killing Elena.

Original witch sent Vicky to kill Elena (3x07). And she instructed Klaus to kill Elena (or any doppelganger for that point) so that she stopped him from creating hybrids. But that is really weird. Because if she needs doppelganger`s blood to kill originals (or to bind them or whatever), it was pretty shortsighted, right?

But @melynbeth made a good point. I am also annoyed how Damon behaves: his impulsivity was a little attractive at first, but now it is a bother. I hate to say it because I loved this character at first - but he too seems a bit incapable of thinking. A little coolheadedness (is there such a word? :-P) would be cooler.

Seconded.
Also common traits of this place:
- Violently disliking Mister Cardboard Matt Donnovan is also a major theme here.
- Violently disliking Cardboardv2 Meredith Fell and wanting her to go away from t his show forever is also important.
- Having a huge distaste for the main DES triangle.
- Having love for forwood as the only canon relationsip worth mentioning.
- Mourning over the potential the show had.
- Raging after the fact that no one important dies in this show.
- Being angry at show writers ignoring the common sense and very basic rule sof coherent writing.
There are other trends coming into play now (like disliking katherine for being just a second elena, mourning over any villain potential any character had, etc), but that pretty much sums it up.

I love Caroline & still hoping for Forwood which looks like they'll make it through. But Klaus all of sudden is this romantic guy! Let's talk about my hobbies but not the big elephant in the room! But this whole romantic side seems rushed if you ask me. It's like he turned on a switch! Now let me fancy Caroline. How lame and he teared up again.
