Firstly... gfnadjklbnjdenl kthk For all of the Delena moments. ;D (And now that's over with, i can actually say what I was going to.:L)
Right, so, Elena kissed Damon. << This was not out of pity. For, if it was, why play 'I should go' in the background? Have you guys actually LISTENED to those lyrics?! And as Damon told her to go at the start of the scene only added to this. Also, did she HAVE to say 'I like you now, just the way you are'? no. she didn't. And the way she looked at him before kissing him - I believe as others have suggeted that Elena saw him in a new light, realised this 'was' his final moments and simply had to kiss him before he died? although I'm hoping for a passionate kiss between the pair in season 3, let's be realistic.. Would it really have been appropriate? I mean, i don't even think Damon would have been able to kiss her passionately. :L
SECONDLY, Stefan. Honestly? In an odd way I think this is truly the best thing that could have happened to him; for one, the character development he will be forced to endure will be AMAZING and I also have an intense liking toward 'Stefan the ripper' - it gives so mcuh depth to his character. I've been saying for a while the show needs to bring fourth his darkside more often and I think the timing of everything was perfect.
So, what I really want to ask you gys is... How shall Delena progress after their 'kiss' and how will his departure affect it. Also, Stefan's bound to find out sooner or later that they kissed, right?

i want to see how elena is going to act after the kiss. she definitely is going to feel guilty because she is not a slut and all that and while stefan was giving himself to klaus she was kissing his brother. also, i think that damon is not going to do something to win elena. he is a better man now and elena has finally seen that he is a nice guy, so i think he will just be there for her and wait for elena to do something. and about stefan i don't know what he is going to do. i mean he loves elena and damon, so will want to come back to mystic falls. but maybe he will not want them to see him like that. or he won't care because now he turned into a ripper with no feelings whatsoever. and i want to see what damon is going to do to save him. brother power!!!

@Luana, ikr! so I have no idea how anyone can say that elena doesn't have feelings for Damon. :/ sure, she doesn't LOVE him yet; but feelings? Most definitely.
@Stavroula, IO too think Elena will feel guilty, but I don't think she'll blame Damon. I think Elena will initiate another other kisses between the two of them now. :) (and honestly? There will be more, we know it.) Mm, yeah. I'd love to see Elena meet 'Stefan the Ripper'. Perhaps Stefan might end up attacking elena and Damon is there to save the day? :o Idk, all i know is next season should have tons of Delena and Stefan development or it wouldn't flow. :/

Great points JackieexDelena. I wonder how Stefan will respond. He has a clear addiction to blood. Now, in real life addictions overtake people to the point of exceeding love for a person. When someone is an addict, their addiction becomes the lover. Apparently, Stefan still did not have a firm grasp on his problem with blood. I am curious how the writers will proceed with his story.
Will his dark side overshadow his love for Elena or...will he shut out his emotions?

@Elijah's hottie; well, i am glad you agree with the points I made. :P Just think I needed to get the ridiculous Delena-deniers assumption of it 'being a pity kiss' out of the way. :L But yes, I do too. :o i think that his bloodlust will get the better of him and as I said in a previous post, Damon will show elena he truly is 'the better man' and she'll lean more toward him?

I am fearful of how the season 3 will go.
One Possibility is that now since Stefan is not here, Elena might have more active role and actually participate in things in more active way and actually have chances to show her personality.
Damon and her have had a lot of foeyay going on so I hope that also does not disappear.
On other hand we might get entire season of her sulking over stefan and doing nothing else, while Damon saves the day and Jeremy explores his extremelly "interesting and unboring"(notice the " thingies) ghost whisperer experience...

I totally agree with you JackieexDelena! I don't think it was a pity kiss at all. She was heartbroken that she might lose Damon and wanted to show him that she cared. It would have been inappropriate to have a passionate kiss on his deathbed. Plus, this kiss was more subtle... now, we have no idea what it means. I think Elena will feel guilty. I think she will deny her feelings for Damon like say that she only did it because he was dying but I think they will show that she is thinking about the kiss. What I think is interesting is how Damon and Stefen really are opposite of what they appear to be. Damon is always professing to be the bad guy, the monster, the 'ripper' but deep down he is gentle, sweet, and caring. And Stefen is always professing to be this good guy who helps everyone yet deep down he is the monster. I think this is why Damon said to Elena, "you would have liked me in 1864.". He was always the one that was a good boy. Elena sees this in him. I can't wait until she sees Stefan as 'the ripper'. She is totally going to struggle with her feelings with Damon and Stefan!
