Oh no when he told her to go home he was breaking the bond or at least trying to julie said he could've broken the bond by simply saying "stop thinking about me, don't ever talk to me again" or "don't try to go after me". Elena is sired to Damon but not by his blood. Klaus compeled her to forget Stefan and sire herself to Damon. The writers have given us the evidence to support this in the first 6 eposides. Elena isn’t blood sired to Damon when she changes to a vampire. 4.1 Elena tells Stefan she was coming back for him when she died,the best decision I ever made she tells him. 4.2 Damon blood shares w/Elena but she cant keep it down. (just like the animal blood) Elena shows no interest in leaving with Damon at the memorial service. 4.3 Elena goes to Rebekah’s party w/Stefan Not Damon, and leaves w/Stefan for the motorcycle ride. Then back to Elena’s room for hot vamp sex w/s until hybrid toxin makes her hallucinate see damon and push him away. Not something a sire would do to the master! Enter Klaus (first clue) save Elena from hybire posions and wants nothing from Stefan but tells Elena he may have a use for her yet!!! The one thing Klaus wants more than anything else is to break up the Salvatore brothers. He hates Damon and still wants Stefan back with him. He’s still pissed at all of them for killing him and klaus always gets even. He dosn’t act now because Stefan is there, and her feeling for the brothers don’t change the next two eposides. 4.4 Elena feels guilty for dirty dancing w/Damon she tell Bonnie shes having feelings she doesn’t want and becoming someone she doesn’t want to be. 4.5 Elena writes in her journal I’m a vamp and I hate it. Still loving towards Stefan and kissing him. 4.06 Now Klaus makes his move. He grabs Elena to keep her safe from the hunter hallucinations he tells the brothers, but he is finaly alone with Elena and compels her to leave Stefan and sire herself to Damon. The next interaction with Damon is in her bed when she grabs his hand and with doe eyes tell him how he always saves her. Damon feels guilty and tell her every thing Stefan is doing is for her. She just stares and asks no questions (not elena) The next interaction with Stefan she breaks up with him. Next day at the party Elena agrees with everything Damon says (the dress she changes her mind to agree w / d. – worried about Jeremy but doesn’t look for him because d tells her not to (never elena). (second clue) Klaus and Bonnie walking at the party, she asks him how Elena could be such a different person and Klaus says, “It will all make sence eventually”
within 24 hours of the breakup with Stefan, Elena is kicking him out of his house to sleep with his brother. Sure she has feelings for Damon, but she would never act on them this fast and with total disreguarde for Stefan’s feelings or how it might affect the brothers bond. The emotional switch between her and Stefan has been turned off. and the one with Damon turned on, and it happened immediately after her time alone with Klaus. It’s a Klaus compeled sire bond all mind control! Only Klaus can break it!
