Agreed.
Even if storywise writers try to portray it as BEST THING EVER and Elena as BEST AND MOST AWESOME CHARACTER EVER, eventually it will all crash, writers wanting it or not.

There's a clear indication that when Isobel gave birth to Elena, the Doctor accidentally dropped the baby...through the balcony...twice....into radioactive waste.
hence why she is so special.

No offense to N.lDobrev, since the girl can act somewhat, but as far as stunts go, she fucking sucks.
