I never really got into GG like everybody else, IDK why though because I do watch 90210 now and then and that's show is a crock of s**t. don't forget that Plec doesn't like the idea of Book Elena. According to her, Book Elena is not relateable and unlikeable for the audience to like her. and no, i wont miss TVD too.
Plec outright stated that they HAD to make Elena more "modest" lul, because the original was bad character, ...
I just saw a poll of the most kick ass female roles on TV today..............Miss Elena Cardboard Gilbert/Salvatore (to be) is nearly at the top, right next to the almighty Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen. Just WOW! Apparently she's kicking it with the big boys as a strong independent woman who is not afraid of the big decisions.......................WHAT????? She can't even pick which brother she wants to screw on a regular basis! What is wrong with these people????? I realize how this bit of news can be a bit of a shock but i'm not lieing. Since Twilight has ended, the twilight fanbase moved on to the closest thing - TVD. That's the only explanation I can think up of this nonsense. Elena does not deserve to be in ANY lists, unless its "Top 10 most annoying and bland mary sues".
Daenerys Targaryen. is the best example of woman empowerment and character development, people are so deluded and brain dead right now
Daenerys is million times more awesome than Elena and alongside Sansa and Cersei represent the outright denial of medieval sexism towards women, showcasing them as three different empowered archetypes.

Be happy. First few seasons were decent. Like a "watered-Veronica-Mars-turned-into-soap-opera" decent. And then it all went to shit that makes The Room look like a friggin masterpiece theater.

That's because by jung's psychological archetypes, Sansa is representation of the innocent/orphan, as well as other traits of social spectrum, slowly moving towards becoming the embodiment of Ego spectrum(namely mage) ash she experiences the outside factors in her life(in opposite parallel to Aria who is moving towards Rebel and the soulful spectrum).
And you never really liked the innocents(case in point: Dawn). MY guess is that you will like her more latter on.
Sansa is innocent/virgin shifting towards magician, Cersei is a mix of magician and ruler, While daenerys represents entire spectrum between Hero and Outlaw. Each of three women essentially represent psychological opposites and in each case represent the empowered version of those psychological archetypes,
Which is why its hilarious to place Elena anywhere near those characters, since Elena does NOT HAVE a psychological profile.

At least whenever I think of Gossip Girl I can name stuff like headbands, minions, great fashion, awesome music, great promo material (at first), there are actually quotes by Chuck, Blair, Serena and Dan, even Nate that I can name.....with TVD I think the only thing that I will ever be able to remember about the show is the awful photoshop promos and posters....
