Caroline's arc rn is basically:
being there for Elena, being there for Stefan, being there for Tyler, being used as Klaus bait for the sake of one of the above.
and the occasional torture that happens whenever it suits some ships/characters.

@BR ugh,i said this when the first of Candice's interviews came out.she basically has no sl herself execpt for just being their for other people and getting tortured.and this torture BS is getting really annoying,did they forget when Caroline said she'd never let that?(kidnapping and torture) happen to her again,and thats whats happening to her since s3 even other day.like fucking stop.it annoys me to no end.

@Flora lol,pls nicfanz and i bitch about it all the time.Rebekah had a blue phone thats why everyone thinks she stole her phone,i guess.
@BR its not really victimising tho but maybe to Caroline it is,considering how Damon treated her and all,she might think its another form of compulsion.

Ugh don't get mad but Caroline was annoying me with that Klaus in Rebekah plan, so I didn't really mind Hayley snapping her neck. Still it sounds like Shane promised to resurrect her parents or something.Yes,,,,because putting a known sociopath and murderer who killed some of people you know and is obsessed with you into a body of someone who killed your best friend and pretty much equally unpredictable psychopath is such a bad idea....bias much?

Elena is de-empowered, treated as a victim, with two sexist male figures being shown to know "what's right for her" and one patriarchal male figure writing her entire letter so she knows "what's right for her". Add to that she is constantly objectified as a prize two misogynist brothers are fighting over for and is not allowed to be in control of her life by narrative.
Let's not even start on how rest of females, especially Caroline, have been treated.
