Robin didn't hesitate to step in front of Regina when Hades tried to kill her. Instead, Robin died a hero, destroying Regina's heart, and ours, in the process.

When Pan's curse threatened to destroy all of their lives, Regina made the ultimate sacrifice. She undid her original curse, which wiped Storybrooke off the map. That meant saying goodbye to her son. Thankfully, the separation only lasted a year. Still enough time to break our hearts.

Soulmate status didn't stop Robin from doing the right thing and leaving Storybrooke with his family. A heartbroken Regina understood why he had to leave. But once they discovered Marian was really Zelena in disguise, the couple reunited. Sadly, Robin died saving Regina the following season.
