Despite the fact that Alura Zor-El died when Krypton blew up, Supergirl Season 3 will still feature Kara’s mother, but with a twist. Erica Durance, best known for playing Lois Lane on Smallville, will be taking over for Laura Benanti as Alura in the third season of the show. <P><P> It still remains to be seen how Supergirl Season 3 will use Durance besides flashbacks and holograms. Durance is now the Lois Lane-actor that Supergirl has brought on from previous Superman media after Teri Hatcher’s recent visit on the show.
