It's bullshit that people will stop watching the show if Tiva happens because you can keep your focus on something else. Like now it's not what runs the show.
The Tiva has to be done right though! It can not be like "I love you and I always have" and then they kiss for the first time, then I will go vomit!!! it can't go the easy way because Tony and Ziva are who they are, Tony is the sweet, funny and a bit troubled guy and Ziva is the hot, very much troubled and you think know one can be like her because she is out of category... And diffently not perfect!!!
They have to share a passionatet kiss so you almost think they are going to have sex right there. It has to be so hot that all you Americans will be angry about it because you think you have to be an adult to watch it then... I will just go "shut up" then and sorry to say it but that's a part of your freaking fucking life! And a 12-year old will not be harmed to watch it - wake up, please!!!

Up front and blunt its a mess. Tiva has been pushed passed the it wont happen. WAY to many pushes and lines like "They weren't faking it, I am married and I know faking." or what ever it was from "Undercovers" But at the same time. them together would get a happy audience for a little wile maybe few episodes but then that draw is gone. so they really are damned if they do damned if they don't Best case scenario they have to balance any relationship time and plot along with the story so that its not about Tony and Ziva all the time and yet have enough meat to the relationship story. Not something that's easy. How many writers jokes fail or just don't play right to the audience. They mess up too much I doubt there is room to fix it.
In short they pushed to hard with it for ratings early on Now best option is to let it happen the last season or take a gamble they can write it in an unobtrusive way

While I personally do not want to see tiva, Already = no NCIS, makes a good point. TPTB have been teasing tiva to death here lately and fans have taken the bait. One side is going to be disappointed if they take a clear action giving us tiva or nipping it forever in the bud. How many viewers will they lose? Impossible to say. I think that they will just continue teasing right up to the end, because they know that if they get off the fence, they will lose a significant tool used to entice fans interest for the show. It's aggravating for both sides, but it's probably the safest strategy for the show.

Sorry, but you're ALREADY wrong & out of touch w/ the REALITY of what's happening with this series. "Tiva" has NEVER been the main attraction for NCIS (the team & their personal lives are)...but it has become a HUGE, inevitable part of the show - thanks to TPTB, that made it that way in the FIRST place. Tiva is NOT "Tony or Ziva's" fault; blame the show runners. They've been dangling this relationship in front of the audience for more than SEVEN years, & at random intervals to suit their own Greed for "Ratings". Well, it worked; the Audience has taken the bait - HARD. At this point, if they DON'T deliver on the Tiva they've been shamlessly marketing to the viewers, NCIS WILL end disastrously - and a lot sooner than it intends to.

All I can say is if Tony and Ziva get together (GAG) you can kiss NCIS good-bye. Use your common sense anyone can tell you as soon as a couple gets together on a show, it ends up canceled.

Maybe the "coward" was just being smart. Ziva's arrogant little foray into Somalia wasn't really terribly successful since she wound up being caught. But I guess super Ziva thought she could take on a terrorist army single handedly and come out on top. Maybe the "coward" was using his head and was holding out for a better plan. Ziva has no problem disregarding the chain of command when it suits her whims. (Hiding her murderous boyfriend Rivkin's presence from both NCIS and Mossad, or taking on the Ari mission, not to kill him as she had been ordered to do, but with the intention of proving him innocent.) After her ill advised entrance to Somalia, the NCIS team went for what was originally to put Saleem out of business, and ended up risking their lives as the price for Ziva's arrogance. But I get it - for some of you Ziva is always a victim and never responsible for the consequences of her actions.

Ziva obeyed the order the director of Mossad gave, which is the only person she had to listen to.
I love how people like you always turn things around to go after Ziva, no matter what she does.

We don't actually know how Ziva's mother died. Ziva's connection to the head of Mossad certainly didn't hurt her career though. And at the tender age of 22, she seemed to have higher rank than Eli's right hand man, Hadar because as she coldly bragged in Aliyah, only Eli and herself had the authority to authorize Tony's murder. Eli began to be portrayed as cold only after the season 6 finale debacle. And I suppose Ziva could have shot Ari in his gun hand instead of in the head, in the mission for which she herself volunteered. Even in Somalia, she went against the advise of her immediate superior. IMO, she's not quite as victimized as some like to believe. She's made a lot of questionable choices, and that would be okay, except that she always blames others for the consequences.

Maybe Ziva didn't have a bad childhood,but her sister and mother were killed,she was forced to kill her own brother,her father is an asshole,a person like that would definitely have many issues,she's been through a lot and I really do feel sorry for her. And she and Tony would make an awesome couple.

Agree with your comments TDF. Ziva has never been called to the same standard as the others, and yet seems to be more appreciated by Gibbs than anyone else. Many of us don't like how she suddenly replaced Abby as Gibbs favorite and Tony, as his trusted second in command. It started when she betrayed and lied to the team in Seasons 6 and 7, and there has been a poor abused Ziva sub plot going on ever since. That is also when she started getting all the action scenes and Tony suddenly lost his ability to fight. It was all damage control for the mess S. Brennan made of Ziva at the end of season 6. But it hasn't helped. Letting her get away with bad behavior because daddy didn't get her a pony and turning her into a Mary Sue has made many of us fans like the character even less.

From what we know of Gibbs, Tony, Ziva and even Tim,none of them had ideal childhoods, but Ziva is the only one that gets a free pass for all past behavior by her fans.Of course Ziva has never admitted any accountability for any of her actions, so why should her fans? It's this Ziva-is-perfect/Tony-never-does-anything-right-and is-unworthy-of-her attitude that puts many of us off.Ziva is *not* better than Tony, or any other character on the show,and if you feel that way,then why root for "Tiva"?

Tony and Ziva during seasons 3 thru 5 were fun and had tons of chemistry. But they changed Ziva so much starting in season 6,it put me off her. She decided to move on with Rivkin, and at this point apparently decided it best to treat Tony like a piece of gum stuck on the bottom of her shoe.Even after the team,lead by Tony, went to Somalia,despite the horrid way she treated them, and risked their lives, she still treated Tony, and *only* Tony,as if he repulsed her with his very presence. Love? No,actually.

Paula: Well well well you are right maybe her childhood wasn't the worst and others have had worse (like you and I'm sorry for that). But that has absolutely nothing to do with Zivas behavior because her past has only made her to who she is and not other people. Besides she has killed a lot and at some point it will come back to hunt her - that define always who she is and become.
About her father Ziva said once that he has always loved his job more than his children and a child needs attention from the parents or it will maybe grow up to seek the spotlight... Our past and social relations make us to who we are. Actually we don't know when Zivas mother died, maybe Ziva was 10 and then had to take care of her littlesister... I hope we will learn more about Zivas past in season 10.

I think the whole 'Will they or won't they' is becoming annoying and unrealistic,they have kept it up for too long now. Any couple with that chemistry in real life would have ended up together a long time ago, and the only reason they're not yet together is because it's a tv show. They should either finally put them together or put them with other characters and stop hinting at Tiva all the time.

We are glued to TV every Tuesday.As soon there are Ziva and Tony looking at each other with lovesick eyes we will do that...There are dozen of crime shows , they all are not bad at all.Like Criminal mind. If I want to watch interesting crime story - here you go - bunch of them. But none of them have Tony and Ziva!

I'm so ready for Tony and Ziva to become a couple, they've been dancing around this for a long, long time now. Tony has taught Ziva that it's ok to act human and express emotion. Ziva has taught Tony that he has a good heart and not be afraid to show it. Neither one are perfect & have made mistakes & will continue to make mistakes, but they've been there for each other through all the good times & bad times. They have such a deep connection, something they've never felt with anybody else. Michael & Cote have done a marvelous job of playing Tony & Ziva. :)

Paula - I agree with you. Ziva only became poor abused Ziva in season 7 in an attempt to gain sympathy for her after she lied to everyone, betrayed the team, and took none of the responsibility for any of it. She was the privileged daughter of a high level diplomat whose career was fast tracked. Ziva has never taken responsibility for her screw ups and bad behavior. Guess the rules don't apply to her. And tmh - LOL - I agree if Tony gets involved romantically with her, he should be head slapped.

I hope Tony and Ziva will get together. I'll be patiently waiting, but I think it shouldn't take to many more seasons to get there. They are only one of many dynamics. It wouldn't hurt the show at all in my opinion if the focus remains the team as a whole. I think it is heading there considering recent developments and everything. Gary Glasberg managed to move away from the destructive part of their relationship and turned it into a great thing over the past 2 seasons. I am enjoying the ride and hope the writers will be brave enough to go through with it before the show ends. I love recent developments and still enjoy the show a lot. All of it. Not just the Tiva, but I really do care about them a lot. Let's see where the ride takes us :)

Blame it on her past what past u referring to the one where sher had dance recitals or played the piano and had a very nice middle class childhood thanks to her mother. Its all Daddies fault, give me a break I had a worse child hood then Ziva and I am a good person because of the mother I had I would never blame Dad for my choises or behavior. Ziva her self said she chose to join Massod Daddy didnt make her. So what show you watching. All her snarkiness and so called crappy person the writers created isnt what love is. The writers are the blame for how Ziva is and writers only and will not like her no matter what they try to do next, until the writers can have her admit all her wrong doings and have her have conciquences, then she shouldnt be in a relationship with any one. okay, completly without reading the comments before...
I'm totally pro tiva.
I mean, they have such an amazing chemnistry, but the writers won't hold this tention for a long time anymore. Just the season finale was an totally dumb idea. Who will go in a elevator when a bomb is going to explode?
And this was just an example for silly ideas just for making us, the tivafans, happy.
If they want to make us happy, then they shold give us a REAL scene. A scene in which the fans can say: 'aaaawwww cute'.
And not this: 'Hey, why didn't we put them together in the elevator before the explosion? Then they'll be happy.' Yeah.. but sounds it logically when someone runs into an elevator when it burns? No.
And even when they have an idea like: 'Why don't we put them together?'
This don't have to say that the show is ruined or they'll focus completly on Tiva.
I would be happy if there'd be just a little scene, like it was in the last seasons. That would be enough.
