Grade the season finale of Glee.
I loved this episode. The acting by Finn and Rachel was bar none, the best that they have done to date (although Rachel was also very compelling in the Choke episode when she sings Cry). In my estimation Finn's act of forcing Rachel to accept her destiny simply screams how much he loves her. He loves her enough to sacrifice his own wants and desires for hers. Isn't that what love is all about. They both know each other so well, that Finn knew the only way he could make Rachel leave was to give her no option to follow him. Brilliant writing! It appears that Rachel and Finn are over, but we just can't predict the future and I think time and maturity will work wonders for both of these characters. If you love someone, set them free ... appears to be adage adopted by the writers of this final episode. Again, in my opinion - very romantic indeed.
I think it was so unfair for Kurt he didn't get into NYADA but Rachel gets all of her dreams coming true! It doesn't seem right! I feel as if the show is turning into Finchel GIVE THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS A VOICE not just let the stronger ones take over everything. I defeats it's own purpose of the show i mean in the last episode I barely even SAW Tina! It's ridiculous! The finale was pathetic. Ryan Murphy has a lot of explaining to do...
The finale sucked and it didn't even seem like one since the ones with real concentration was Rachel and Finn. No time was really given to the other seniors GLEEs total disregard for the other characters is so obvious. When did it become all about Rachel Berry. One liners or more lines for Mercedes and Mike and they were done. Small conversation for Santana and Brittany, Kurt and Blaine and then the whole last 10 minutes to see Rachel try to act and do a rip off of Mary Tyler Moore in NY. GLEE why are all the other cast members the underdog to Rachel and if GLEE is true to its meaning when do the other cast members get to WIN!
I honestly think the episode sucked. Only a few of the characters got happy endings. I know that's how life works but still. This episode hurt me.
"Maybe I'm just overthinking it"Yup, you are. Musicians pop out of nowhere every episode, obvious twenty-somethings playing teenagers, a school and faculty THAT corrupt, and you're getting your skivvies in a twist over the college acceptance timeline? Never mind the fact that Q went from paraplegic to professional dancer in what a few weeks? Yeah, over-thinking, a lot.I thought the train station scene was by far the best actual acting I've seen in this show. Rachael's reaction was spot on (not that I have experienced high school breakups, cough, cough) And Finn's determination, though perhaps not so much his motivation, was splendid.
That is how life works, people who seem like they deserve something (kurt) dont get it. people who arnt very driven like finn, dont get in to top dramatic arts schools. and people who get second chances like rachel might get in and it would seem unfair to kurt but, thats life! But rachel was seen singing a solo at a national championship and won, she is brilliant. thus, it is understandable that she got in.
This. sucked. Honestly, it's ALL about Finchel anymore. Kurt didn't get into NYADA, Rachel got everything she wanted, Finn is joining the army, and nothing else was really explained. EXPCEPT what's going to happen to Finchel. I mean, honestly. I waited for this, was really excited, and then Ryan Murphy goes and gives me a finale like this? It's not even Glee anymore. It's basically the Finn and Rachel show. I'm not so sure I even want to WATCH Glee next season without Kurt at NYADA. Kurt did SOOO much better at his audition, and Rachel messed up. Yet, Rachel got in and Kurt didn't. Hm. If Glee is supposed to be so realistic, it's not. Life doesn't work that way!#
