I had hopes the show would show promise. It didn't. The original cast had a few funny moments. Jon Cryer struggled to carry Ashton's performance. I liked Aston in That 70s show because he played the dumb character, doing stupid stuff. He isn't a true comedic actor; laughs isn't something he can pull off. The shoes he's trying to fill doesn't fit. The first episode was a trial thing for me. I won't be watching the show again. I was truly disappointed.
I am a huge True Blood fan. Hated the way the witches storyline was done on their show. It was overdone and stretched to the breaking point and when it came to summing it up they fell short, with a limited resolution scene. I love Vampire Diaries and I'm so glad the new season is here. I saw the previews for The Secret Circle and thought it looked interesting; but that I would just stick with Vampire Diaries only. I ended up watching it anyway and instantly became caught up in the story and interested in the characters. I have read the Vampire Diaries books (half of them anyway) and now I'm gonna add The Secret Circle to my reading list.
The first episode of season three was not a disappointment. I thought I'd dislike the changed Stefan and his new found devotion to Klaus. I like the badboy Stefan. I know he'll be good again at some point. The one episode makes me anxious to see the next.
