• Brothers & Sisters Round Table: "A Bone to Pick" (1/4/2010)

  The show had way to much "filler" including the second wedding. But the part that upset me was how they misrepresented what a bone marrow transplant involves, specifically about Nora telling Ryan that the next day he'd take 2 aspirin and be all better. Yes, a donor doesn't suffer as he would if he donated a kidney, but the donor of bone marrow has a long recovery and pretending that Kitty would be all better and at home only 3 weeks after the transplant. Bone marrow donees are kept in isolation for many weeks and after 3 weeks are lucky if they feel like getting out of bed. It is an arduous process. It could have been an opportunity to teach people about these procedures.
