Thanks for everything you do. I love reading your recaps
I LUV LUV LUVed this episode. I loved the "Safest Town in Maine" twist with Duke's family as police, Nathan as a doctor able to touch and feel AND with a family. Vince and Dave were hilarious - but they also played small town paper publishers when Audrey first met them in Season 1. Colin Ferguson is great as William the vicious stalker. But I have to admit, the reveal at the end - what they are to each other and the gun shot wound were fantastic. I am glad Haven never gets stale. Each season the writers come up with something even better.
I thought this was the best of the True Blood season finales, but I think the pacing was not just off, I think we were anxious for things to happen faster then they were. I felt myself looking at my watch 34 minutes in waiting for my favorite characters to appear and more storylines to be tied up. The Marnie wrap up was deflating after all the war plans and power battles. Making Pam cry over Eric and be comforted by Ginger seemed out of character. Pam would have been plotting and planning how to get him back on her side, not weeping. We all knew Russell was returning that was a given. Steve Newlin as a vampire is going to be interesting. I expected Jesus, Nan and Debbie to die. I was not expecting Tara to kick the bucket, but the writers never did anything with her but make her whine. True Blood really cleaned house for Season 5. I am willing to hang in there and see how it goes.
