I don't believe it was EVER stated that the author was all-knowing. If that were the case, he'd just stay in a single room all day recording stuff that would come to him without ever needing to leave his house. The fact that he is outside, observing stories as they happen and knocking on peoples doors following leads to record suggests he is not. Especially in this episode where he outright states he can't always see where a story is going to go. "the reason for so many books in his library is that he IS writing all of them down"Or maybe because-as you have pointed out- there have been several authors over the years, all recording countless stories. And if someone was actually writing ALL the stories of every story realm into existence there really wouldn't be any need for an Author to be recording them-if they were already written. Unless he's freakin' Metatron-the scribe of God.
When Emma finds out that Cruella was bluffing and couldn't have killed Henry even if she tried, she is going to have to deal with the repercussions that she consciously chose to murder a woman full of empty threats. No matter how you justify it, this is a fact that isn't going to go away.
1)Why the title? I guess you never heard of this little word called IRONY. And if that's not enough, we learned that Cruella's magic and liberation from her mother is directly a result of the Author being sympathetic to the lies Cruella told him. She played him for sympathy and he gave her the power to kill her mother and become a villain. 2)Cruella was de-fanged. She couldn't have killed Henry even if she tried. It doesn't matter if Emma didn't know this at the time. When she does find out, she is going to have to deal with the repercussions that she consciously chose to murder a woman full of empty threats. 3)Cruella did answer Maleficent's question. Her answer was the whole reason Maleficent turned into a dragon.
