No, but Tony's been to Iraq with Jardine! McGee went to Afghanistan and Russia with Gibbs, Ziva went with Gibbs to Afghanistan! Just to name a few places they've been. And none of those were considered 'on the job' training, like Gibbs did with Bishop. I'll give you that they did get training in the field from Gibbs, but it was gradually and we actually saw it.
I agree with y'all, Bishop really needs more training...the problem is that we've seen other characters come into the bullpen with training, and then hone the other skills that were lacking. Look at when McGee joined the team, he was an agent out of Norfolk, had already done FLETC, and it didn't take him too long to establish himself on the team. Even then, McGee had some confidence as well. For me, as I've said before, they crammed too much into one episode about Bishop, based on the complaints from fans over the last year. With the other characters, over the years, we saw their skills show up gradually over time. With Bishop, they just crammed it into one episode. I loved Tony in that interrogation scene.....that's the Tony I wish we could see more of. And McGee just told the suspect he was on his own. I love how Tony and McGee still connect so easily, especially during this scene. The prank wasn't really all that funny to me, but that may just be me. However, I will say I loved that line that Tony said 'I taught them well'. Tony's a good mentor and always has been, no matter who was under him, Kate, Ziva, McGee and now Bishop. Ok, final words, this is just my opinion only....please no bashing.
I just looked at their FB page and I'm just shocked.....obviously they were not pleased with the script and didn't want to work with NCIS on this one. I believe they've been consulting with NCIS folks for years. So this is just pretty shocking to see.
