    Everyone here must be assuming Meredith is leaving but she is not played by Shonda Rimes, she is played by Ellen Pompeo.

    Patrick Dempsey is the main character I watch the show for. If anyone should leave it should be Ellen Pompeo. I never understood why she was selected for the Meredith role. She is not even remotely attractive and their relationship is not even believable. A hot guy like him should be with someone who looks like a model and not plain Jane.
