Some random thoughts about this episode, in no particular order:Jane and Lisbon were out of character. They should have been all over Ardiles’ murder, and should have been in close contact with Rigsby/VanPelt. Also, I don’t believe that Lisbon wouldn’t have gone with Jane when he asked, or that he would have given up so fast. It was an awkwardly written plot device to set up Jane leaving Fischer in the next scene.I don’t like when a plot is initiated by something so mind-bogglingly stupid that no sane person would have done it. As someone else pointed out(Americ, maybe?), what did that lady think would happen when she went to bring back a fugitive alone and unarmed? On the same lines, how many dark warehouses are there in SanFrancisco, because Rigsby needs one for next week. At the rate he’s going, people are going to think that Rigsby is the killer. Two warehouses, two dead people. I love J.J. and Rigsby, but really-you’ve got a warrant. Get some backup! The scene with Lisbon, Abbott and Fischer(and the power ranger) was very funny, and the only scene I really enjoyed.Where the heck is Lisbon's present? The writers seem to be dividing the season into episodes to address different audience factions. There was the Red John arc for the who is Red John fans, and they were livid at the way that ended. There are the Jane/Lisbon fans, who are beyond unhappy now. Finally, there are fans that just enjoy a good procedural, but so many stories this season have had such huge holes, I don’t think they’re happy either. Is Heller deliberately trying to offend every fan of this show? Trying to get out of your contract by driving the show into cancellation, Bruno? When I find myself thinking about what the writer was thinking while I’m watching TV instead of being caught up in the story, there is a problem. When the best thing I have to say is, “Well, at least it’s a new episode” there is a problem.
Michael, your vocabulary and grammar both need improvement. Show some manners. Look at some other posts to learn how to disagree respectfully.
You could be right, Just Passing-I hope so! I'll continue to watch new episodes, but I'm done spending my money purchasing episodes from Amazon until I see how this plays out. I know I'm not in charge of The Mentalist, but I am in charge of my own wallet and my own time. I like you optimism, though! You give me hope.
