Castle Review: The Good Guys Win

I enjoyed the episode but still found myself wishing Alexis would go ahead & disappear into the ether through at least the first half of it. After not speaking to her father for weeks, she all but demands his help, but oh wait, won't talk to him during a lengthy road trip? Get out of here. I'm glad Alexis finally had her epiphany or whatever the hell you want to call it with her dad & Beckett, but if she doesn't appear in any episodes for a while, I'll still be more than okay with that. On another note, I enjoyed seeing Lanie on the screen for more than 20 seconds & it was nice to see her giving Beckett some advice again. I don't know where she's been, but I hope to see Lanie more often this season.

Castle Review: Depending on Dad

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said numerous times: It's well past time the Emmy's (finally) recognize those involved with this show (actors, writers, creator, producer, etc.).
This episode could've easily been a 3-parter.
James Brolin was wonderfully cast as Castle's dad.
I don't know how, but I'd completely forgotten about Jennifer Beals' character being a Russian spy and how all of that nice fit with this episode.
I absolutely LOVE this show.
The Castle writers love their 2 part episodes involving some kidnapping that effects or involves the main cast, don't they? I wonder who will be kidnapped next year ...
