Castle Round Table: "Murder He Wrote" (10/23/2012)part 3 of 3 What would I add to the episode? I think I disagree with those who would have Kate tell Rick that she would have gone to the Hamptons with him two years earlier. Because it’s sad. I think that knowledge might make Rick sad. I would have liked to see one or two of those near kisses actually land and I would have liked to see them holding hands in the kitchen near the end of the episode. The still photos showed their hands clasped (around Kate’s waist) but we couldn’t see it in the actual show.
Castle Round Table: "Murder He Wrote" (10/23/2012)part 2 of 3: Ryan choosing to keep their secret: Ryan proved early on (first episode of season 2 – and remember, season one was only 10 episodes) that he was a Castle loyalist and is perhaps more sensitive than Espo. It fits Ryan’s character to keep the secret for now, even though he and Espo are partners. Beckett’s boyfriends: I didn’t like any of them because she belongs with Castle. I thought Josh was hot, but he was a jerk. I didn’t like Will much at all. Demming was okay, I guess. He was a decent guy but he just wasn’t right for her.
Castle Round Table: "Murder He Wrote" (10/23/2012)Favorite scene: First off, my favorite actual SHOT was of the marina sign, to each of four faces (marina guy, Castle, Beckett, local cop). That was a really cool shot. Aside from that, I had two favorite scenes. The Hamptons arrival scene was really good. You wonder at first if Beckett was uncomfortable with Castle’s wealth or what, and totally understand her discomfort with wondering how many women came before her in that setting. But I also really loved Ryan’s interrogation of Lerner, and his reaction to what he learned. Does Kate feel guilty: Yeah, she said so right off the bat in this episode. She thanked Castle for reminding her that she’s lying to people she really cares about. But, there’s nothing she can do about it.
