Blue Bloods Season 11 Episode 1 revolves around changes in the political climate.

When Regina Thomas goes on a radio talk show to claim that the NYPD engages in racism against Black citizens, Frank's staff encourages him to go on the air to rebut it. Frank declines, instead asking for an investigation into an incident a caller claimed happened.

Gormley finds out that the cops on duty claim this was fictitous. Frank invites Regina to see him at his office. They butt heads as usual and Frank thinks both sides need to listen to each other more but Regina insists only his side is unempathetic. A dispirited Frank asks Garrett to write him a resignation letter and Garrett adds a post-script encouraging Frank to continue speaking inconvenient truths.

Meanwhile, a suspect pushes Baez down the stairs during an investigation and locks her and Danny in. Baez is hurt and Danny does his best to take care of her while trying to find a way to escape.

Meanwhile, Joe Jr shows up to help Jamie search for Danny and Baez while Eddie deals with an angry lady whose father's body has been lost by the morgue.
