When a man reports his wife and daughter missing, Danny and Baez are called onto the case. At first, they think the pair might have been kidnapped, but they soon learn that the woman's immigration status is in jeopardy and that she ran away with her daughter. Danny is judgmental toward the woman while they are searching for her, but Baez is sympathetic. Meanwhile, they struggle to find her before she can leave the country.

Elsewhere, Jamie is upset when he hears several officers teasing Officer Santos, who is Filipino, about Filipino food and culture. He tries to talk to Santos, but Santos wants to just go along with the teasing, and Jamie's boss advises him that minorities have a hard enough time and that Jamie should let this go. Santos resents Jamie's involvement and says he's lodging a complaint against him for singling him out due to his minority status.

When a judge lets Anthony and Erin's suspect go, Anthony vows to get him off the streets. While following him, Anthony sees the guy attack a woman, but the man resists arrest and falls down the stairs. An investigator tells Anthony she's going to be looking into his behavior, putting Erin in a tough spot because he told her he was going to hurt the guy when he caught up with him.

Finally, Frank butts heads with the Deputy Chancellor of Education -- and angry parents -- after a school safety officer gets into a fight with a student.
