Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 8 revolves around complex situations.

When an off-duty cop shoves a camera in the mayor's face, the mayor has him arrested. The DA's office drops the case, but Chase demands that Frank fire the cop, which Frank refuses to do. Garrett thinks Frank is approaching this all wrong and is shocked that Abigail and Sid agree with Frank. Meanwhile, the mayor files a complaint with the civilian review board, who sides with him and agrees the cop should be fired.

Meanwhile, Danny and Baez look into a Vietnamese biker gang that beats up a guy. Danny realizes the ringleader is a guy he crossed paths with in the past and tried to encourage to go into police work instead of continuing to be a criminal. Sonny escapes when Danny tries to arrest him, then calls him and tells him to check his email. Sonny has sent proof that the guy his gang beat has been violently attacking Vietnamese girls in Sonny's neighborhood.

Finally, Anthony is worried about how associating with Jack could affect Erin's campaign and Jamie is asked to secretly investigate whether Badillo is dirty.
