Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 18 revolves around secrets, lies, and the need for control.

Scott discovers 50K in his new girlfriend's purse and she storms out, offended that he thinks she's lying about what she's doing with it. Later, he finds out that the cops would never give an undercover that much cash at once.

He has other problems, however, when he and Marcel treat a gunshot wound victim. The victim's wife claims her husband wouldn't want to be resuscitated, but Scott thinks she might have tried to kill him for the insurance money. He and Marcel disregard the DNR because Gavin waking up is the only chance of finding out thee truth.

Meanwhile, Will and Maggie discover their patient is an undocumented immigrant. ICE is looking for because she is accused of kidnapping her son. She tells Will that her husband severely abused her and is a powerful man who can't be stopped legally. She wants to leave the hospital but her condition worsens, and then Randall takes over and plans to turn her over to ICE.

Finally, Asher and Archer again butt heads when Archer thinks the surgery that Goodwin's daughter has agreed to let Asher do is too dangerous.
