Law & Order: SVU Season 17 Episode 20 revolves around the case of a young model who claims she was raped by a photographer. Sally is a 17-year-old model with a controlling and possibly abusive boyfriend who also acts as her manager. She goes to a photoshoot with Alvin Gilbert, a famous photographer with an even more famous brother. Alvin's assistant, Nora, takes photos of Alvin having sex with Sally. Afterwards, Sally is crying but Nora claims the camera shows it's consensual.

Sally is very nervous about claiming rape because her boyfriend, Matt, will not like that she went to the shoot at all. The next morning, she shows up at SVU with Matt and with a black eye but she claims Matt didn't give it to her. Matt tells SVU that Sally needs to stay away from Alvin and won't listen to him. He will take care of Alvin himself if they don't.

The cops investigate and find out that a lot of models allege rape in private but won't go public because they think it'll end their career. Munch pays a visit to SVU because he investigated a similar case 12 years ago, but he and Fin find out that the woman in question now runs an agency and sends models Alvin's way. She no longer believes she was raped.

Alvin and Nora are arrested, but with no one else coming forward the case hinges on Sally, and on testimony day she suddenly doesn't want to testify. It's clear Matt made that decision for her so Rollins wants to investigate who tampered with their witness. Alvin's brother says that Matt came there with a gun and demanded $50,000 in exchange for Sally withdrawing her testimony. They complied.

Nora is still in jail and doesn't want to cooperate with the investigation, even when Barba warns her she will be charged under federal child porn laws for the photos she took of Sally. However, Olivia convinces her that Alvin doesn't care about her and won't even visit her in prison. She turns over a bunch of videos, allowing the cops to charge Alvin with 10 counts of rape. Before they can, however, Alvin is found dead at his latest fashion show.
