Law & Order: SVU Season 19 Episode 5 focuses on a girl who miraculously reappears 10 years after she was allegedly kidnapped, but it is soon clear that something doesn't add up.

When a young woman shows up in Central Park with no idea who she is and a story that she had been kidnapped and raped, SVU is called to the scene. The girl is freaking out and screaming not to be touched but eventually talks to Rollins and Carisi. It is soon established that her story matches that of a missing girl named Emma Lawrence, and age progression software shows she is a dead ringer for that girl.

Emma is introduced to her parents and soon remembers them. They happily take her home. However, Fin and Benson discover evidence that her story is fake. The parents won't submit to a DNA test and her brother is acting strange and creepy, leading the detectives to worry that this fake daughter has just put herself in harm's way.

Meanwhile, Benson struggles with the question of whether or not to allow Sheila Porter access to Noah or not after Sheila declares in court that she is only seeking visitation, not custody.
