Law & Order: SVU Season 19 Episode 23 wraps up both Lourdes' case and the season.

Stone is forced to drop the charges against Miguel for lack of evidence, and when Jorge dies he has no choice but to charge Lourdes with murder. Benson feels this is a miscarriage of justice and she and Stone don't see eye to eye about who did what.

Stone goes to trial despite Benson's misgivings. Lourdes' lawyer implies that Miguel is not trustworthy because he came to America illegally as an infant and continued to break the law as an adult by not applying for legal residency. Later, a man in a bar warns Stone that if he doesn't drop the case so that Lourdes gets deported and dealt with by the Mexican cartel, he will hurt Pamela.

Stone ignores the threat and proceeds with the trial. He doesn't think there's anything to worry about until Pamela is kidnapped.

With no time to spare, the team has to get info from Miguel in order to try to find Pamela. Eventually they get a lead, but she is being held by a dangerous man with a machine gun.
