Law & Order: SVU Season 21 Episode 5 revolves around three separate cases that all come in at midnight.

Benson and Rollins must deal with the case of a rich girl who was assaulted in the back of a car she hired to take her home. The parents are friends with Hadid and want their case made a top priority. They continually try to use their influence to pressure SVU and want Benson to handle the case personally.

The girl IDs an innocent man, leading to a loud argument between Carisi and Rollins that both Benson and Fin overhear.

Meanwhile, Fin works a domestic violence case in which a seven-year-old child calls 911 when his dad gets violent and attacks his mom. The mother, Joelle, doesn't want to press charges and thinks the cops should mind their own business, as does her sister, while Carisi wants Joelle's cooperation so he doesn't have to put a young child on the stand.

And newcomer Kat gets the case of a transgender sex worker who was assaulted by a man who solicited her for prostitution. The man is a rich corporate lawyer and his victim doubts anyone will believe her.
