Law & Order: SVU Season 21 Episode 11 revolves around a rape survivor who takes matters into her own hands when the NYPD ignores her report.

When Monica Russo is raped while working as a stripper, the desk cop she reports it to takes it upon himself to decide the case isn't worth pursuing and throw away the report. Monica is furious and paints a mural complaining about the inaction on her case, which Benson finds while out and about with Noah.

Benson investigates and eventually the team finds out who the survivor is, but Monica is hostile and won't talk to Benson about what happened. Benson gets through to her but then Monica gets a dead rat in the mail and decides she's done with Benson. Instead, she livestreams chaining herself to a meter outside the accused's restaurant and is arrested.

Monica seems shocked to be locked up, and surprised that Benson gets her a lawyer. The lawyer holds a rally with Monica to demand the rapist's arrest. Two other women come forward, but the judge throws their testimony out because they might have been coached.

Carisi is stressed out about the case and almost quits after a bad day in court, but Benson convinces him to stay the course.

Meanwhile, Rollins seems to get set off at the drop of a hat but tells Carisi she is quitting therapy.
